So I had a couple of days off from playing ESO and come home today and decide to get back into it, only to meet "Launcher.exe is not a valid win32 application" error, upon investigation my entire client has just vanished without me doing a single thing, I didn't patch it or change a single file. Only a few hundred mb of mostly empty folders remain where the client used to be. Folders and files might I add, which needed a third party program to remove because windows was flipping tables whenever I tried to delete, move, rename or touch them in any way.
I don't live in a place where downloading a 28GB client is only an hour or so, here it can take days of the entire internet being dedicated to downloading, and this would be the third time I'd have to redownload the entire client in under 3 weeks. What on Earth happened?
I'm aware that this game was buggy but I'm not sure if you realise this but as we head further from launch there are supposed to be less bugs, not more. Every single day since I started the game has become more and more unstable. A friend of mine even had his hard drive wiped upon installing from disc. The level of incompetence this company has shown with the client, the launcher and the launch overall has reached staggering heights I've never seen before. Honestly, I'd ask for my money back if I didn't think they'd screw that up somehow too. I'm done.
