Moving vertically in homes (Stairs, ladders, etc)

Are there any tricks for allowing steep vertical movement in homes? There are no functional ladders. Using a furnishing item as a ramp has a max incline of 60 degrees for you to be able to walk up.
You can make stairs but it takes up to many items of your item count, 1 item per step. That can quickly add up to a large percentage of your item house limit.

✭✭✭✭✭Functional ladders don’t appear anywhere in the game that I can recall. I wish they did, I hate seeing my character just stare up at a ladder when I press the x button and the screen fade out and then suddenly I’m out of the delve.
Unless they make an animation for climbing the ladder for these instances, I don’t think they would enable use of one in homes. It is something that would improve the game experience in both cases, though.

✭✭✭most people deal with it by doing a zig-zag ramp to allow less steep access, so basically using 2+ items to bridge the gap as opposed to however many for stairs. Which house are you thinking? I have some saved ideas for many of them.Edited by StabbityDoom on August 21, 2020 12:58PM0 -

✭✭✭✭✭The murkmire ramp reed is pretty excellent. The Alinor staircase is pretty big. It might be too wide but it shouldn't take up too much item count? There is also the limestone stair item in the summerset vendor. Those are more than one step per item.
