Moving vertically in homes (Stairs, ladders, etc)

Are there any tricks for allowing steep vertical movement in homes? There are no functional ladders. Using a furnishing item as a ramp has a max incline of 60 degrees for you to be able to walk up.

You can make stairs but it takes up to many items of your item count, 1 item per step. That can quickly add up to a large percentage of your item house limit.

Functional ladders don’t appear anywhere in the game that I can recall. I wish they did, I hate seeing my character just stare up at a ladder when I press the x button and the screen fade out and then suddenly I’m out of the delve.

Unless they make an animation for climbing the ladder for these instances, I don’t think they would enable use of one in homes. It is something that would improve the game experience in both cases, though.

most people deal with it by doing a zig-zag ramp to allow less steep access, so basically using 2+ items to bridge the gap as opposed to however many for stairs. Which house are you thinking? I have some saved ideas for many of them.
