Wanted to play Alfiq since elsweyr. So I have to endorse this. As a trade-off you can't use weapons but your magic regen would be extremely high or something.

My alfiq werewolf nightblade is ready.

Sub-races such as Alfiq exist to enhance a setting. But not everything in a fantasy RPG, and this applies to any setting, is designed or intended for player characters.

I don't see people [snip] to play as a Land Dreugh, which ironically is a more realistic request than "playable Alfiq".

If a new race option is ever added, it's gonna' be Maormer. They fit the criteria perfectly.

Ha ha, while I don't disagree on real life kitties, I'm not so confident on ZoS' ability to make a working/playable Alfiq. Their horses tilt wierdly on inclines and I can't walk over a pebble.

I know there are a ton of practical issues, but if they figured out a way to make this work, it'd improve my enjoyment of the game ten fold. Want to be an Alfiq mage so badly!!!

In order for this to work they'd almost have to invent a new weapon line or two exclusively for Alfiqs. I could imagine a sort of talisman, as a magicka weapon, that is functionally close to a staff but with different animations obviously. The ult would have to be comparably as good as elemental storm to be fair. Reworking the animations for some class abilities could be a pain, though I don't imagine it would be that bad for some that have a generic casting animation.

As for how gear is displayed on the Alfiq model, I suggest it just isn't. Instead, have various costume unlocks that can be found around the world (antiquities, dungeon drops, achievements). Oh yeah and crown store. 😝

Give an Alfiq the same click-radius as a Bosmer so they have a reasonable chance at reaching things. Give them a comparable hitbox so they can all be hit reasonably, too.

Uh. Make them glow neon colors in PVP so people can see them idk. That one is tricky. 😂
