I think it's intended not to be able to gift Crown Gem items, the addition of the Gift option being there may be an oversight, when I tried to gift Crown Gem items it tells me it's not possible to gift them, they should however remove the gift option if that is the case.2 -

Of course this is great news but the fact that the OP didn't get a response to their ticket and basically had to resort to posting on the forums is also an important issue. We see it from time to time and obviously there are the posts we don't see because they get deleted for discussing what CS did to them and they get silence trying to resolve CS mistakes.

✭The issue was pointed out in January, and we got a response in this thread saying they are "working on it". I would think that is not actually the case. They might have placed on a list of stuff that is broken, and forgot about it, but working on such a simple matter for three months and not finding a solution? I would rather assume that the problem is being ignored. The quick and dirty fix would be not to lock up on the recipient owning part of the bundle. The more careful solution would be to ignore only the existence of the free Imperial City DLC on the recipient's side.
A few days ago, I tried and failed to gift the bundle for the same reason as the OP. I sent a ticket in as well, and I was ignored. Nothing but automated responses, nothing in response to any of my follow-ups, no resolution. They took my money for the crowns, but I can't use them as intended. From their perspective, I guess it counts as a successful sale, but I am certainly not going to buy another crown from them until I can actually spend them.

zantarizb14_ESO✭✭✭It's possible, based on some comments I've seen in this thread, that the originally reported issue was not being able to buy the 4 DLC pack for yourself and that may have been resolved. So gifting the 4 DLC pack may be a similar but new issue. I'm not sure of that, but it may be the case.0

Now that i want to gift the 4 dlc pack to a friend, i cant because they have Imperial City DLC, so the discounted price of 4k crowns for the 4 pack cant be gifted to them....
I have sent multiple support tickets as has my friend and we have gotten NO resolution
To buy the other 3 dlc's in the 4 dlc pack costs 7k crowns to buy them separately
