Seems like these casuals just want everything handed to them on a silver platter. I queued solo against premades in PvP. I didn't complain about getting steamrolled against premades. It's how you get better. Casuals don't want to get better. They want the easy way. Should be called Elder Solo Scrolls MSP (Massive Single Player). Matchmaking in BGs is way more unbalanced without premades. It's all random. You can be stuck with no healer in BGs while they give one team 2 max gear templars. That's not balanced at all when you give one team no healer and the other team gets 2 max gear templars.

ESO IS a casual game. It just is. If you and your friends only play and enjoy ESO because of BG'S then in all honesty with zero malicious intent, you all should play a dedicated pvp game [snip]

Casuals just aren't interested in getting better at pvping in a mostly pve game as this is not a pvp centric game.

PvP is not casual. PvE is casual. PvP takes getting used to. You get better at PvP by fighting better players. I still see casuals in BGs getting steamrolled even without premades so what's the excuse now?

As I have no idea what to do in battlegrounds, I won't queue solo. Imagine having to figure it out with a bunch of hostile PvPers in your team. Bleagh. I don't play the game to humiliate myself.

    [Edited to remove Baiting]

With solo queue BGs, ive never seen a team with 2 dedicated healers win, deathmatch at least.

Deathmatch is a kill race, 2 healers make your kill rate much slower.

There are YouTube tutorials for the different BG modes. You could watch a few of those to learn the objectives and mechanics of the game types.

As far as learning to pvp in general goes. BGs are the best place to do so. If someone is butt hurt by a loss where you did poorly on their team, screw them.

You don't need premade teammates to boost your ego while trying to learn how to fight. Just jump in there, get your butt kicked, learn, and improve. No one should expect anything more than that from someone who is new to pvp.

It is less intimidating to queue with a couple of friends when you are new.
It isn't just about vet premades.

Idk, why be intimidated? You owe your teammates nothing but your honest effort.

I was speaking from a new player point of view after 6 years you tend to forget that.
It is much more enjoyable if a couple of friends group up.
But I understand much easier to X the way it is now, just wish there was a way to accommodate both play styles.

For sure, I know you aren't being intimidated. I meant for new players too.

But yeah, I say let folks duo queue to reintroduce the social element to BGs without longer queues or premade imbalance.

You don't get better when you're getting steamrolled over and over, just what are you learning by dying all the time?

Besides, my experience has seen the exact opposite, more casuals finding success now that premades have been eliminated, now what?

In my honest opinion I see more frustration and steamrolls now than I ever did before with group q's. Before, I saw people communicating and literally having fun (i know, fun in a BG seems so out of place nowadays) because they q'd with their buddy or they made friends in the BG to Q with in other games. I literally witnessed so many friendships form through battlegrounds before all of this and now all I see is "you guys suk lol" by the guy going 0-10 in a deathmatch. Just yesterday in ONE bg, one team had 4 BOWBLADES, the other team had 3 sorcs and 1 dk and the other team had 3 people, and when i see stuff like this i cant help but think where is the team balance that you guys see that i dont see? Why do i keep coming up against 3 sorc teams or 3 Grothdarr DK's or 2 healers in one team or teams that aren't full when I never had this problem before? Are you guys seeing a sense of team balance that I'm not or are the people commenting on this topic only doing 1-5 BG's per day? As somebody who does anywhere between 20-30 BG's per sitting, the trends are extremely obvious to me and i can assure you that battlegrounds have fallen far from grace since the solo q's were implemented. I have come across countless teams I could call premades and i have been matched with people who openly say "lol this is for solo players now nobody cares about the objective" or "nobody cares about your rewards for the worthy" and I would like to NOT play with these people, why do I HAVE to? Or as a competitive PvP player I just have to put up with it, while the daily doers and vigor grinders completely ruin the experience for us.

All good pvpers have been steamrolled at one point in time. If dont try to up the difficulty you wont improve. How many times do you reccon you die before successfully being able to 1vX for example. You learn what situtations to avoid. A full premade is usually predictable just like a ballgroup in cyro but if you charge strait into either you die.

Instead of whining about premades wrecking you why not think that maybe he was suggesting having a group bg queue as well as a solo one. Orrrr have premade vs premade

I saw this! There will be a celebration thread when it actually happens, but for now my hope in the game has been RESTORED. As Battlegrounds are all I really do, this is game-saving for me, could not be happier with the news.
