Same bar swap bug happened to me after putting points into the werewolf skill line and reassigning my werewolf bar. Can't play any real content when locked onto my main bar always

This happened to me several times when spending skill points, with the most recent one happening when I put a point into Blood Ritual, or whatever it’s called to bite players.

I have managed to "solve" this one. I respecced my character using the shrine of Stendarr, but left around 25 skill points unspent. This seems to be the only way for it to still work, obviously ZOS needs to fix it properly, but if you want to be able to revive other people, swap your weapon and use your scrying ability then that's what you've got to do. It seems spending your akill points up to a certain amount will break it.

Personally, I have picked two weapons that you want to use and maxed them out, but removed all skill points from the weapons that I only occasionally use. Less than ideal, but when this is fixed you're only missing out on a few skills on weapons you don't use rather than all the other problems.

I will add up how many skill points I have spent to confirm the safe number when I'm next on. (You may be able to spend a few more but I didn't want to break it and have to spend another 20,050 gold, if anyone knows of a higher number that is safe, please let me know)

I would guess it is capped at 400 or so for some reason in the Greymoor game code, and this needs changing by ZOS to reflect the actual maximum.

Well, I had the bug yesterday, was soloing a dungeon and could not weapon swap, the message was somthing like - you can not perform that action in your current state. I was out of combat. Could not weapon swap with the key bind nor the swap icon on character sheet. I HAVE NO SCRYING on this char.
Put my weapons in the bag, equipped them again and it worked.

Thank god, but this is very serious and totally unacceptable.

Obviously it has nothing to do with scrying in my case. Have werewolf on this char but was not using it. Also, this is a fairly new max level character, far from 400 skill points, 200 at best.

Hope it will get solved asap.

Yeah their are several different bar swap bugs in this game, with different fixing like you mention above.

Only last year mine was caused by vampirism so I needed to cure that to resolve it. As soon as I became a vampire again the issue reoccurred.

This is the reason I’ve not even dabbled in the new vamp skills as yet. Shame really

I got it working by taking all points out of WW. However I put points into scrying and excavation and i lost five skill points! Lost two points in trowl, and keen eye. I also lost the default skill point in scrying so I literally can't scry! Also I can't bar swap yet again. Poof, five points just vanished. Including a default skill point!

This is completely game breaking and I give up sending tickets and spending gold on skill respecs @ZOS_GinaBruno

I know it isn't a long term solution, but if you take all the skill points off weapons that you rarely use then the ones in scrying should come back (assuming you want to prioritise scrying until you have leveled this up over PVP this is) This should at least allows you to continue scrying. When they fix the game, you'll be able to just reallocate the skill points to those weapons and you're back to normal. I only have 2 weapons with allocated skill points on them and it seems to work relatively smoothly. The only thing with that is it constantly tells you that you have 25 ish unspent skill points all the time but at least the game works.

Bar swap bug happen to me last Sunday (26th July), on both PS4 servers. On EU, the char used has scrying points allocated. But the char used on NA hasn't scrying points allocated. The EU char is a WW, the NA char is a vamp.
On EU I could swap bars after dying and getting resurrected. On NA nothing fixed (/reloadui or dying and getting resurrected) : I could only swap bars after leaving the dungeon.
This was the 1st time this ever happened to me and I've ran trials and dungeons on both servers several times before.

So my question is: is this bug occasional?

In my experience, the bug where the bar swap does not work, the scrying ability stops and you cannot revive other players all at the same time is not occasional.

From what I have experienced it is dependent on the total number of allocated skill points. I believe these are all side effects of a skill point allocation bug.

There may well be another weapon bar swap bug that is occasional as well, but personally I have never experienced such a bug.

i had this once, before i say thought they where being funny but it worked, they told me to take off all armour (including weapons and jewelry), remove cp and attribute points and jump of a cliff

Out of interest, did you reallocate all of your skill points after this and did it still work as normal?

When I first had the problem it was stuck on my backup weapon. I took off my weapons then logged out then back in again and put my weapons back on, then it was stuck on my main weapon. Didn't try jumping off a cliff though (Although I have died lots since so I'm not sure that'll make much difference now).

maybe buying next DLC will help...

to learn what one can expect and what not about bugs and support

i suppose it wont work, but try crown dishasa disguise and hide helmet option. In pirate skeleton bug, It helped (i dont play anymore, but sure that bug is still there and Will be there 5 years more)

I too experience this issue now. Seemed to happen after I became a vampire. I've sense cured vampirism and still face the issue. Happens all the time now. The only way to recover is reloadui. And even that doesn't work sometimes and I have close the game and restart.

1. Did you double check your keyboard shortcut settings you might have made changes to?
2. For the add-on, try renaming the add-on folder on your PC so it does not load at all period. Exit ESO and Launcher. Rename the folder to addon_OLD and also do the same with the folder name: Save Variable.

Now launch ESO and see if that helps.

Everything has been checked and doubled checked and handed over to Zos, had to do reports etc the lot.......waiting on them to fix it.

Iv'e had this bug too, a couple of times a week in Cyrodiil along with most of my guild. Only way to fix is to crash the client (so you don't get kicked out of Cyrodiil)
