Console players: What’s your move next gen?

I will stay with the current gen until that time they stop supporting, and I'll move to PC permanently... or I might not. I might buy the next gen lol I'm not sure. Pricing plays a significant factor for me

✭I don't typically get the new gen of console until a good while down the road; let the bugs get worked out and the price drop, and let a game release that I really want to play, then I'll probably buy. I've been with Xbox since their first console released, and unless they go full stupid again like they did with the Xbox One release, I will likely get their new console.
I bought a PS4 first, last gen, (because Microsoft were being idiots), but other than a few exclusives, (Detroit: Become Human ♥) I haven't really played it much, so I see no point in buying a PS5. I will always prefer the Xbox controller over Playstation.
As far as playing ESO, I doubt I will still be playing by the time new consoles release. I've done all story quests multiple times on several characters, and I just can't find much to do anymore other than repeating dailies. On December 3rd, I will have been playing ESO for 5 years, and there just isn't anything fun left for me.

I've dabbled quite a bit. Enough to really give it a chance, but I just dislike it on the whole - both Cyro and Imperial City. I far prefer to play with other players against NPCs than against other human players. I have a vehement aversion for the kind of PVP that brings out the ugly side of humanity, and real people fighting against real people does that, IMO.~~ Lady Gamer ~~ ♥ ~~ Xbox NA ~~0 -

Yes, same accounts but the OP’s question asked ‘stick with your old console’ or ‘switch to the new one’. I just wondered if anyone had an idea if it would be possible to do both, e.g, play the Xbox One in my bedroom and the Series X downstairs on the big telly.0 -

✭I clicked move to next gen console, but I wont be doing that immediately. I'll wait a year or so I imagine, till they work out the bugs and no doubt bring out better versions.0 -

I was a day one adopter of xbox 1 and xbox 1x. Neither had any bugs that needed to be addressed at launch, or at least none that made even the slightest memorable impact.

In my case, it's just paranoia created by the nightmarish Xbox 360 launch. That infamous RROD (red ring of death) was no joke. I was pretty lucky on the whole, but my first 360 did have problems and have to be sent in to be fixed, due to overheating issues. Later models seemed mostly okay, but overheating definitely remained an issue for that entire generation of consoles. Such a shock too, as the original Xbox of the previous gen was a wonderfully stable machine. We have 2 original Xbox consoles that are over 18 years old, and they both still function just fine.~~ Lady Gamer ~~ ♥ ~~ Xbox NA ~~0 -

RRD wasn't a bug, is was a design flaw. And it wasn't something that went away with a little time and a few updates. It was only fixed with the mid-generation hardware updates.
