New Battleground Ideas

Here are some ideas I’ve been thinking about battleground for a good while that would be nice to see in-game PVP.

• Destroy the totems all totems spawn like Crazy King Battleground. The totems have a health bar of 500 or 1000 each. And you can get interrupted with other players just like Capture the Relic and so on.

• Battleground Laser room, the 60% of the battleground is lit up by lasers by a new style of Deathmatch. Just like a dungeon that displayed this type of combat let see this in the Battleground.

• Battleground of Darkness, the light is your friend, and don’t let the darkness consume you because other teams can earn points on your death. And when you find the areas that show light still be aware of other teams and the light going dim to dark and see fast for the light again.


This is all I can think of for all my battleground wish list for now : )

    I think these all sound awesome. I too wish BG had some more options (groups or not).

    I would even like to see modes without teams. Like a free4all deathmatch. A multi-chaos-ball round (3- balls total, and no one is on a team).

    I think these all sound awesome. I too wish BG had some more options (groups or not).

    • Misama Battleground - where some mystic-fog covers the battlefield and gives a random special effect throughout the battle, like... a yellow-green disease misasma that prevents ALL healing, or a white-gold mist that greatly increases health regeneration, a blue magica-leeching misasma that makes magica characters despair, or a orange heat-haze misasma that doubles the cost for all stamine activities? It would be random, and there could be interactables that would change the type to get to and use in the hopes of switching the battlefield to your groups favor...

    And more stuff like that, perhaps?

    New battlegrounds would be awesome. However, I cannot see this being awesome or even happening until they get their performance issues fixed. If they could somehow manage to do both, I'd never visit these forums again.

    How about a battleground with just 2 teams please? The novelty of 3 teams dies off pretty quickly once you see 2 teams figure out one of the teams is completely inferior to the others enough times.

    ...its all just ideas off the top of my head.
    There could prolly be tons more, and better, ideas made into something game-fun... I just want to see more interesting options pop up, that make some players smile and others groan, battlegrounds with variable effects, varying environmental effects, etc. So that its not always the "same old, same old"... ;)

    If only we had creative options like this. I love BG enough, but they are getting kinda stale.

    Even if we just got some new maps, that would be an improvement. There are already plenty of of areas in the world that would translate well to BG, without needing a special instance. You could simply copy and paste portions of Tamriel, add a few barriers, and call it good. Or not! Just add a warning when you go out of bounds, and if you don't return in 5 seconds...
    (summerset map: gryphon swoops down and snatches you, glenumbra map: undead come out of the ground and swarm you, etc.).

    I know Cyrodiil is the main PvP experience, so that may be why BG is... lacking... but I would personally love some more anything for BG. It just feels incomplete as is. Same maps, same modes, and usually the same outcomes: one team dominates, or 2 teams abuse the third.

    Even some of the dungeons (or portions of them) would make for some cool modes...

    Mine-cart: 2 team mode. One attacking, one defending. You must remain within X meters of the cargo and it will move along a track. you must defend it to get to point B within the time limit. 3 team option?

    Thieves Den: several chests hidden throughout a dungeon, and players must find them and return the gold to their base. Other teams can steal from your base. First to XXX wins, or the most after X time wins.

    Add 'affixes' that do different things based on events in the match.

    For example, every time someone claims a node (grabs chaos ball, etc) every player is healed to full, but loses 10% from max health for 20 seconds.

    I wish we had God mode in battlegrounds where all 3 teams go against 1PVP player. Where the team that taken down the 1PVP player the most wins by 500 points or time runs out. And the 1PVP player can win too by kills up to 500 too.

    I would love to have something similar to arenas in wow. 2vs2/3vs3 with rating and some leaderboard to bring more competivines to PVP as there is in PVE now.

    Here's and interesting thought for battle grounds: Stop being the only team based multiplayer pvp game in the world where you can't play with your friends. Just wanna put that novel idea out there.
