I can't think of anything specific to ESO tbh. Performance is lackluster but I play on Xbox so and we are getting next gen consoles in few months so I am hoping all that extra power will help (Playstation is of course getting next gen hardware as well this holiday season). Other then that the usual, rare toxic player (but it's very rare, if anything ESO is better here then most, this community is amazing).

And to add my own top-3:

    1) Resources returned are based on weapon type and not highest attribute
    2) The need to jump over a tiny step or being unable to climb a small rock (haha)
    3) Far too many options for char customisation (skills, sets, etc.), yet some basic options like a 1h+rune or bard class are missing

A bard class would be awesome to have in ESO. A hybrid of a Support/Healer/DPS class!

    Oh, that's easy.

    1. Low-Drop-Rate RNG grinds. If anything drives me from the game, it will be finally getting fully fed up with these. Motifs, Gear, Collectibles, whatever. The value you place on a person's time is the precise value you place on the person, and expecting us to spend our precious time in living the old joke about the definition of insanity seems incompatible with respecting us.

    2. One-shots. I don't just dislike these. I hold them in contempt. They're a crutch; they're simulated challenge; and I don't understand how designers could do anything but hate them, too.

    3. The heavy-handed way ZOS tends to operate. All buffs are over-buffs. All nerfs are over-nerfs. Harrowstorms are almost the Platonic Ideal of this methodology, being boringly easy for large and skilled groups and nightmarish for small and unskilled groups.

    1. I find there's not enough classes and the ones we have tend to become unrecognisable and lack identity. More classes pls zos.
    2. People whining in zone chat when you try and sell and item (or bite) for slightly more than it's officially worth. Gotta make that dough bro...

The quality of outfits in this game is shockingly low; the textures look really bad, they're too rigid, and are too samey.

    Too many redundant traits/gear sets.

Warden class is too reliant on the bear.

Warden class thematically stunted due to reliance on bear and nature of frost damage.

The versatility of some classes is questionable. I'm grinding public dungeon bosses in Deshaan for an inferno staff and there's a sorc who is literally just running around melting everything in a split second so that most of the time I'm not doing enough damage to get a loot drop.

    1. the extreme difference in difficulty between normal and veteran modes, particularly for DLC Dungeons. Normal is too easy and because normal is so easy, you don't have the opportunity to learn mechanics, so playing through on vet becomes an exercise in patience/frustration until you've tried it enough times to get the hang of things.

    2. Botters. I wish Zos would not only ban the account doing the botting, but the account benefiting from the botting.

    3. The fact that mount research is character specific and not account-wide. 6 Months per character to finish research is ridiculous.

    4. The combat system. I hate that you have to button mash in a specific order and do animation cancelling just to get your DPS up to what is considered "decent" by most standards. Some may enjoy it, but it is my LEAST favorite part of the game and I wish they would fix it instead of balancing the game assuming that you are going to be able to flawlessly execute animation cancelling all the time. Even if your good at it, lag and being on console makes it unreliable at best.

    5. The fact that the game is so DPS oriented and the fact that people favor DPS in order to bypass mechanics. I wish the game was designed so that elite-tier support players could make it just as simple to walk through content as elite tier DPS.

    1) Lag - It gets real bad sometimes and it sucks when you're one of the support roles and you or your other teammates die because of it.

    2) Too DPS Focused - Yes i know damage is good, players want to see big numbers, but the push for damage on support roles really makes playing support not...favorable. At that point just play a dps yourself. Also doesn't help this game has random dps checks.

    3) Lack of Frost Damage Support - So Warden have 3 frost skills, a defensive monster helm and 2 ice sets ( and 1 block ice set) they can use if they want to be an ice mage. Since ice staves are a tanking weapon so using the destro skills from there is a waste.

    4) Potential Rewards Thrown In The Crown Store - Is it really so much to ask for a basic guar or camel to be earnable or buyable with ingame gold. I'm not asking for anything crazy but it's really bad when the only way to get a guar is to buy one with real money.

    5) Extra Mechanics in Veteran Difficulty - I hate going through the dungeon on normal a bunch of times thinking i know the mechanics and mobs and veteran throws new things that change the way i deal with the fight. Like that one mage boss in MHK having an enrage ring around him all of a sudden or Unhallowed Grave summoning Elsweyr Bone Goliaths who heavy attacks has the potential to knock you off.

    In regards to your #4:
One of the reason why I think ZOS should nerfed AOE damage dealing abilities so it cause only 1/4 of damage original damage.

Too many people relies on AOE damage in PVP to 2-3 shot other players during 1vX. They have NO skills and when it's that powerful during BG it's ridiculous.

    1. Lack of world progression

This game lacks world progression since the introduction of one Tamriel. There’s no awe and wonder of leveling to access new and exciting areas. An evil warlord ruling a continent? Don’t worry my level 13 character will kill him in 10 seconds.

    2. Gear and weapons are bland

This game has some of the worst designed gear and weapons. Outfits and armor you unlock by completing some of the hardest PVE content (trials) looks like beginner armor in any other game. The only saving grace is the dye system.

    3. Achievements aren’t account wide.

I see no reason for this. I’ve read multiple threads and it seems the largest argument against it is people getting upset seeing low level characters with titles for clearing hard content. Ok...but that person on that account made a character and progressed it enough to earn that title. Who cares if they use it on a low level.

    1. Mount training system. Should be either account wide or lower the price of the books to a dollar for 10. That's still 12 dollars people will put down to insta-max speed and carrying/stamina depending on if they like PvP or PvE.
    2. CP system. Just redo it already make it so it actually allows people to flesh out "their way to play" not be "blanket good".
    3. Antiquity Leads should be able to be sold. Not everyone likes the furniture or does it, might as well let the leads be sold and still require the Chapter to use the leads.

    1. Tutorial needs to be longer and more intensive. Really teach people about basic rotations and light attack weaving. By basic rotation, I mean aoe dot > aoe dot > buff > dot > spammable > reset as needed. Something like that to explain how they all add together. Will it be perfect for each class? No. Will people pull better damage? Absolutely.
    2. Main quest and alliance quests need to be more challenging and interesting. Give them mechanics and more health. Elswyr was probably my favorite in terms of boss fights but they felt slow at times with waiting for the dragons to come back to the fight.
    3. Continue to improve build diversity and bringing up the dps floor. Make having various sets for dps a fun AND useful thing.

Unfortunately, that is how ZOS current business tactic are. 99.9% of their decision on the game as a whole revolves around the Crown Store to increase revenue as much as possible even more so than ESO +.

    Well, I have a few...
    1. Lag/Desync - not entirely certain if it's lag on my end causing desyncs or what, but it's a little ridiculous. Example being in Cloudrest and being very clearly outside of the telegraph for the portal's cone on my end, but still getting sucked down anyway. This has killed me on vet.
    2. RNG - just makes farming difficult, among other things. I've been trying to get an Alkosh lightning staff for over a year now and I still haven't had one drop. I'm using an Inferno that dropped in Infused as a stand in until one finally, y'know, actually drops.
    3. Balancing - oh, boy. Wildly swinging from buffs to nerfs (like the Elsweyr DoT changes going from normal to OP to nerfed) and the removal of what makes the classes interesting is just... Bleh. Now the thought AoE tests in Cyrodiil and the potential of classes having to be adjusted for that just scares me.
    4. Housing - there's just not enough furnishing slots. Now, I know a reason was given for it, but I still hate it. My primary (Princely Dawnlight Palace) just feels far too empty even at all 700 slots filled because it's just too big. I'd like to be able to decorate it more, but I can't.
    5. The mail system. It can take forever for mails (including Hirelings) to actually show up. Usually I'd switch zones to force a mail through, but sometimes even that doesn't work and it takes 2-3 zone changes to get the mail. It's a little painful.

    1) Friction switching between game modes. On a Breton sorc it's annoying changing CP between trials, changing gear, morphs and attributes for a different role or PVP, etc. And that's on a character that can heal, PVP and DPS with the same race. I changed a magnecro to stam but I don't know what race to change her to bc I know whatever I choose won't be as good for PvP or PvE.

In FFXIV you switch classes (therefore roles) by equipping a different weapon and gear. Three or four clicks.

    2) Outsourcing basic game features like minimaps and inventory search to add-on developers.

    3) Buggy as hell.

    1. Endlessly nerfing equipment for seemingly random reason

    2. every "routine maintenance" seems to set the servers on fire

    3. (the big one) proposing drastic changes to well established parts of the game that are functioning as they should to please one part of the player base at the detriment of all others. First it was the HA/LA changes to help reduce the skill gap (even though people proved it wouldn't necessarily do that and may have even made more of a skill gap) and now it is the AOE changes to improve cyrodill performance (yes, i know it's only in pvp at this time but they've given no guarantee that it won't eventually effect pve as well). This is the second time now that something like this has been done and honestly, i can't see many people sticking around if they keep causing this level of uncertainty.

Yes. I need jewelry enchants for mag+spell damage (just call it a Glyph of Increased Harm). The tri-stat regen and cost reduction glyphs were helpful. I also need monster set pieces that grant both spell and weapon penetration, and monster set pieces that give both mag and stam regen.

    1. Server performance and bugs in game.
    2. Constant lack of improvements for stamina using classes. Well, lack of any class improvements to be honest.
    3. Trading system.
    4. Manually improving mounts every single day for 180 days is like the worst idea ever in all the games I've played in 25+ years.
    5. Lack of respect for the community and not listening to player suggestion whatsoever. Also straight up lies from developers like people actually requested vMA changes - yeah right.

Could be the best MMO easily but so far I've noticed I spend less and less time in ESO. Not worth it anymore - sadly.

The frequent lurching changes to classes and skills and to a lesser extent gear sets.

The changes on the PTS are just flat removing class identity like the heal from Templar's Ritual of Retribution, for one example. Rather than make small tweaks and improvements they just hit it with a hammer and keep pushing all classes to be more and more just like every other class, only we aren't getting new weapons or new customization systems like spell making after all this time to balance out the changes.

The new vampire abilities are another example, getting completely changed multiple times in the brief time since release. Now in the new PTS patch mythics are already getting lurch hammered as well, and if the new AOE changes become permanent we will have 3 second cooldown for using AOE? I'm sure like everything that complete gameplay-changing lurch (which COULD be solved by just buying more servers for PVP with all that profit) will trickle down and damage PVE as well.

I wish they could just stick to class identity, balance PVP and PVE separately, and invest in some infrastructure to keep pace with demand rather than trying to rebuild the entire combat system around their investment budget, which appears to be quite small.

Yea, FFXIV is simplistic and no other MMO can match it's multiple jobs/class in a single toon without switching to another toon! I've played FFXIV from 1.0 to the current expansion and SE certainly add SOOO MUCH QOL to the game it's crazy in a very good way. The game is very smooth and almost completely bug free! And till this day they continue to improve their game's QOL.
