Haven't been spending a whole lot of time online but let's see what bothers me, in no particular order.

-Lack of a Refresh Mail button. If people spamming it would somehow break the game, then give it a cooldown of 1 minute or something.

-Inventory minigame. Instead of having ~200 slots per character, I'd absolutely love to see a shared pool for everything. Want to try this set on this character? Oh right, the gloves are probably on a different character. Do I even have them? Thank Talos for the addon that tells me yes I have them and they're on character X. Now I just have to logout, log in, log out, log in. Aaand... Missing the ring now. Where is it???? And why do I seem to have three copies of the belt but no pants at all???? Having everything we own in a single pool (with a proper way to sort, lock, tag, and organize things, of course) would make it so much more pleasant to play. Addons make it more bearable if course, but leaving these QoL things for the players to program and keep is just lazy.

-Surveys. Oh boy. The last time I needed ingots I relogged with the character that's holding all of those, stared at the stack of 21 northern elsweyr blacksmith surveys (among many others I have), stared a little longer, and just went do something else.

-Complete failure in balancing/adjusting things. If there's a class/set/skill that's overperforming, nerf it by 5% and see how it goes. Instead of nerfing it by 50%, doubling its cost, reducing its duration, all at the same time, and turning it from a staple to complete trash no one will ever use for any serious build.

-""""""New"""""" content. "New." When the assets are copy/pasted from somewhere else and just given a recolor, that's hardly "new"... I have at least three years worth of content/expansions which I haven't really bothering doing, and when I do step on something that would be a first, 9 times I get the "oh look, same asset used in X" feeling. Doesn't much make one want to go out and explore...

I have other pet peeves, most definitely. But that'll do for now.

    4. Stamina class skills are an afterthought

    6. Character has to jump to clear minor obstacles
    7. Random Number Generator is a sadistic psychopath

Players who say "this could easily be implemented" when they have no idea about the coding issues possibly involved.

Wait, we could have included the forum and forum dwellers in this list?

As I come across that sentiment semi regularly in zone chat too I wasn't specifically thinking of forum people, but yeah.

    1) Crown crates. Hate them. Don’t mind the store so much as can actually buy what you want. But the crates & their gems is bloody awful. Let us buy the stuff in game with gold earned by playing the damn game.

    2) The amount of whinging that goes on here, on the forums. Especially the entitled I-want-it-now/my way posts.

    3) The ‘Oh good god the sky is falling in’ reaction to any changes. (See no.2)

    4) Limitations to housing inventory. Make the inside & outside separate instances.

    5) The idea of the meta & having to slavishly follow it. A subset of this is the constant fixation on maximum dps. Why bother having any mechanics in dungeons or trials, just put people in front of the dummy and give them occasional drops if they hit a certain rate. Then don’t have to worry about pesky support roles, or groups, or anything that might distract from these mighty warriors showing how fast they can press some buttons, as that’s the only thing worthwhile.

    1. Targeting with LA HA especially flame destruction staff. it happens quite frequently where I’ll be charging a HA with my cursor on an enemy in front of me just to watch the HA hit a target moving behind me.
    2. Tiny hit boxes on certain enemies especially ones that sit with a low profile. For instance, those yellow/black lizards that erupt into fire when damage have a hit box so low to the ground you have to point your cursor down or else skills simply won’t fire on them.
    3. The performance in Cyrodiil.

    1) Gameplay/Balance. Quit messing with core mechanics and just balance sets/classes. If it’s too hard to keep balance because of the PvE/PvP paradox, then simply change one armor trait( looking at you invigorating) to affect incoming dmg in PvP, remove the dmg nerf on battle spirit, and only reward that gear from PvP vendors/rewards or on crafted sets. This way you can control the set list and therefore balance much better without changing core components of class abilities or game mechanics. You would have to put a lock on the trait for any non PvP or crafted gear, but Ppl could still run PvE stuff in PvP but at their own risk. Use those metrics y’all love to use and look at the forums... you ll see many customers would like a clear separation between PvE and PvP...

    2) PvP content. Same map, same fight, over and over..... it’s been time for a new map and no BGs are not the answer. Speaking of BGs... when are we gonna get to group que?

    3) Game Performance and Server usage/distribution of assets. I don’t think anyone would complain about less crown store items if it meant more server space. I know soo many ex longtime eso users who simply quit due to lag in PvP. Why not limit group size in PvP to 12, or lower the population on all servers and create more to distribute the server load?

    1. Having adhere to the meta, or risk exclusion from group activities.
    2. PvP - partly because of the lag in Cyrodiil, but mostly because I just suck at it.
    3. There are far too many mounts locked away inside Crown Crates.

Bloody loading screens. Except for ones like into the clothing station in Solitude (why, ZOS???) and within zone, every single interzone load screen "may be a long" one. No, not "may be", IS.
And Cyrodiil. Riding to a keep under attack, in the main CP campaign - which had only one bar pop on two factions and none on mine - I got hit with about 8 long loading screens. In the middle of nowhere. Alone. Every ******** time I moved, bam, another. Missed that entire battle and the next, because restarting the game didn't help.

Second, lag being a major factor that I don't think ZOS can do anything about, not giving us another server. Specifically, Oceanic. I know they've said they won't, but they keep telling us how many new players there are and how successful ESO is.

Third on my list would be housing item placement. Okay, the precision tool helped a bit but it would be great it we could turn off gravity to place things like ceiling lights instead of trying to judge from below.

    __________________________Backstories:_________________________

Ras Kalik the Vestige, a renown Redguard warrior; He has been blessed to save Tamriel from Molag Bal’s destructive Planemeld while reuniting the Five Companions. His further accomplishments after defeating Molag Bal, has been to stop the destruction of Morrowind, the Clockwork City, return order to the isle of Summerset and create a new king in Wrothgar and a queen in Elsywer. These events have made him a living legend and continue to lead him into new adventures throughout Tamriel, as well as into the hearts of many ladies including the Elf Queen, Aryenn. Over many years of adventurous travels, Ras Kalik had become a loner, until he re-visited his homeland of Alik'r.

Alik'r and it's cities were overrun by the undead Ra-Netu and therefore he made an allegiance with Alik'r's own Ash'abah tribe. These Ash'abah with his help, cleansed the city of Sentinel in Alik'r desert and it's surrounding areas of the undead brought to life by the Withered Hand. After rescuing Sentinel from the undead zombies, King Fahara’jad’s personal bodyguard the Goliath of Hammerfell, who was given this name by Imperials in the region; was asked to assist the tribe after learning of the defeat of the Withered Hand to the Ash'abah. Kalik promised Goliath he would task him with fighting living enemies on the battlefield if he so desired. Goliath being a Yokudan warrior wields a massive sword in respect to the Ansei, a gift given by the Imperial, Cinan Tharn. Not many soldiers are able to wield double two handed weapons, but Goliath loves to get up and personal in a fight, so he also carries a giant maul, both weapons laced with magical flames.

Jux Blackheart is a master thief that masquerades as a Bard at the Sisters of the Sands inn, with his younger sidekick Lucky Hunch for pilfering and gambling during this time. Jux was known to infiltrate any towns bank vault he came across and even delved into Ayelid ruins without detection. Kalik can vividly recall the night he met the famed thief. Jux found himself rummaging thru a slightly inebriated Kalik’s pocket for too long, on a full-mooned night and because of his greed and the glimmer of his golden armor in the moonlight. He lost his left pinky fingertip as a lesson! But in return, he gained a new friend, as it was his first time since a child being caught red-handed...

Upon arrival back in the Alik'r after many moons of adventuring, Ras Kalik ventures to Bergama. Visiting The Winking Jackal, he runs into Jux Blackheart, who introduces him to the coin game Crowns vs Forebearers (Heads vs Tails) and Golden Dwemer (RBG).... Jux constantly takes gold from the unfortunate thru theft or gambling, his biggest gambling victim is actually his partner in crime known as Lucky Hunch the Gambler. Lucky doesn't mind losing any gold coins to Jux... as Jux saved him from Altmer slavers in Summerset, by stealing a key and sending him on a boat to the mainland years prior. Lucky spent years in slavery with Khajiits in Summerset and picked up the art of subterfuge, using illusion magic disguises and stealing there.

Kaotik Von’Daemon an outcast, and a half-caste between a Breton mother and a Redguard father. Kaotik become a pariah due to his conjuration of Daedra pets. He was taught healing magic during his childhood years by his Breton mother. His father due to Redguard customs exiled him from the desert, sending him by wagon caravan to be a soldier in the war in Cyrodiil. He happened to meet Kalik while traveling from Alik'r, during this long caravan ride the caravan he was in was ambushed in Bangkorai by a group of bandits. Kalik by chance was also traveling thru this area on his Auridon Warhorse (which was bestowed to him by his friend, Darien Gautier). During this ambush, Kalik was able to rescue five hostages from the bandits. Kaotik was the first rescued, and Ras Kalik also recruited him to be in the Ash'abah tribe. These core Ash'abah tribesmen may never be seen together in travel as they partake in their own adventures but they always know what each other is doing; as they frequent a hideout in northern Bankorai. Their hideout an old Orc castle ruin, is kept watch by Nuzhimeh and she passes messages written between them, and frequently they also enjoy her company and her bed.

The other men rescued were a Dunmer banker, an Imperial mercenary and two other soldiers, an Imperial and a Breton Knight, stating proudly he was an Akavir descendent. One of the Imperials, Cinan, claimed to be related to Abnur Tharn the Battlemage of the Imperial Elder Council (One of Ras Kalik's mentors in the Five Companions). Cinan Tharn was really Abnur's drunkard treasure hunting illegitimate son. He was caught smuggling artifacts out of the Ayleid ruins in Cyrodiil and the elder of the two Imperials was Tyrus Septim a retired Imperial navy battle-mage (now a Lycan mercenary living in the city of Rimmen) and guard to the Tharn family. As much as Abnur Tharn hated his half-sister Euraxia, he dislikes his bas†ard son Cinan more. Tyrus now a ruffian and privateer had been paid by Abnur Tharn to watch over Cinan as much as possible. Cinan Tharn a drunkard, loves to drink at least a quarter barrel of Nord mead before he raids various delves and dungeons for relics to sell on the black market. Cinan also plans to one day, run an illegal gambling ring... which he thinks will net him more gold for his wares.

The Dunmer captive shackled to the Imperials looked familiar to Kalik from his time in Morrowind.... and he recognized him as Tythis Andromo a House Telvanni slave-owner and banker from Vvardenfell. During a rough interrogation to Tythis, Ras Kalik learnt why the bandits accosted him. The racist Dunmer was providing slaves as soldiers for the Three Banner War. The bandits were trying to negotiate a lucrative ransom for Andromo and the Imperials.... Kalik did not need any of this gold and he could never set Tythis free as he did with the two Imperial soldiers. His past involvement with slavery and war crimes, made Kalik's blood boil. He chose not to execute Tythis, as he figured the worse punishment for this former rich and opulent slave owner, is to now be an imprisoned servant for Ras Kalik and the tribe.

Herzog Zwei the Genesis a reknown Imperial/Akavirri battle-mage. His roots going back to Akavir through his mother’s bloodline. (His mother is descended from the Akaviri, through Versidue-Shae, and his Imperial father met her in Hakoshae, while traveling) Herzog earned the nickname "the Genesis" from his father as a child, as he was his mother's first born child, and last, as she tragically died in child-birth.

Herzog was seeking to purchase an artifact from Cinan Tharn, before their capture and was meeting Tyrus while in Rimmen, who introduced him to Cinan. This artifact being the Ayelid artifact; the sword Sinweaver. After their rescue and the exchange of gold to Cinan for the sword he decided to slip away before Ras Kalik could question who he was, and why the Akavir descendant really wanted that sword. Herzog was headed to Nagastani — An Ayleid ruin in eastern Cyrodiil. He had read in scrolls that the Sword would give him magical powers to meet his mothers spirit, if he performed an Ayleid ritual at an old shrine hidden there. Equipped with the artifact sword, he was off to start his own adventure but Ras Kalik, did indeed notice the sword however and instead sent a letter to Jux Blackheart (whom also was interested in Ayleid treasures), to attempt to find Herzog and acquire the sword. (*Azani Blackheart in Elder Scroll's Oblivion is Jux's descendant some 747 years later)

And so the Redguard, Imperial and Akaviri men parted ways ... While Ras Kalik went off to Elsweyr to encounter the latest threat to Tamriel, with Abnur Tharn and Sai Sahan - - DRAGONS!! Little did Ras Kalik know a few people were awaiting him in Senchal besides Sai. A necromancer survived his attack on the Withered Hand, while in Alik'r. The necromancer known as Auriek Siet'ka is also following him to the land of the Khajiits and Cacique the Sage of Ius a Shaman mystic who has become attuned spiritually with Tu'whacca (a Redguard God) and Ius (the Animal God), after being burned severely by the escaped dragons in Elsywer, is awaiting his arrival also. Aurik is a soldier of the Daggerfall Covenant that was introduced to necromancy while in the military, even though this magicka art is not spoken of openly by most of the Military leaders. He came to Alik'r and worked with the Withered Hand before Ras Kalik intervened on their plans. After the defeat of the Withered Hand, he aligned with the Worm Cult, and is constantly adapting and perfecting his necromantic arts.

After his journey to Rimmen, Kalik heads south to Senchal, in the southern regions of Elyswer. This new adventure will also put him on a path to meet a strange Redguard man. The stranger which was infected with an untreated Peyrite disease and also was the exiled from the Order of the New Moon cult, due to his sickness. He originally joined the cult to worship Laatvulon, the green dragon, mistakenly thinking it was the Daedric prince Peyrite. This confused and suffering cultist is known as Tsar al-Bomba and he is on a path to spread the disease. He was originally infected in Orccrest while recruiting members there. Can Ras Kalik and the shaman Cacique cure this poor soul, only time will tell. Little does Tsar al-Bomba know, that his infection is tied to Vampirism, and eventually the desire for blood will take over his mind. Senchal also offers Kalik his latest love interest... Aeliah. Whom he fondly led thru battles with the Dragonguard.

After the trek thru the heat, tropical and desert climate of Northern and Southern Elyswer, Ras Kalik heads north to the cold mountain range of Skyrim. His companion friend Lyris beckons for him with a letter sent by crow...

Movárth Piquine - a former vampire hunter (now infected), within the Fighter's Guild (and a secretive necromancer) was in Skyrim working with the Morthaal Guard. On a patrol mission he was caught in Frewien's ice curse outside of Morthaal with the frozen undead. Movárth's vampiric infection kept him from becoming an undead minion to the curse. He was able to use necromantic ice-magic to encase himself safely until he was freed with Freiwen, when the Vestige Ras Kalik broke the curse.

Uri Ice-Heart - brother of Urfon Ice-Heart. The twin sons of Atli and Oljourn Ice-Heart. The Ice-Heart family are originally from Markarth but now reside on the Jerall Mountain range near Cyrodiil, with their younger sister Araki. The twins had joined the Winterborn Reachmen while living in Markarth. Urfon pushed west to Orsinium with the Winterborn Clan, leaving his family behind. Uri stayed behind with his parents and sister to live in the family cabin for safety, avoiding the Vampire plague infiltrating the Reach. After news reaches him and he hears of Urfon's death... Uri leaves and heads home and is seeking vengeance. Meanwhile, his sister has also moved on to Windhelm to join the Fighter's guild. He will visit his sister, once before going to seek vengeance and she will craft him armor mixed with ice, called Stalhrim armor. Uri fearing death, after his brother's passing, falls victim to the convincing talk of Movárth at a Nordic tavern, and will also becomes a vampire.

    1. "Metas", and people in the community that require specific builds or gtfo. I know that's an MMO issue and not an ESO specific issue, but ESO is the game that I'm playing, and I absolutely cannot stand when people think they can dictate how I set up and play my own characters, or tell me I have to play with certain add ons or whatever. The fastest way to ensure i never use something is to tell me its a "meta" that I *need* to run. While it might be a larger MMO issue, the design of this game fully enables, encourages, and builds around it.

I want to say skill delay and skills not even activating is #1 for me. Same goes for bar swapping and potion drinking being screwy. I managed to drink a potion in combat last night and watched my health bar move exactly NONE.

But the META and things surrounding it do take some fun out of the game. No, no one should ever tell you that you're playing a class or a race wrong. That's extremely offensive and elitist. As long as you can be effective, it's not "wrong". If the META makes other builds look that much weaker, that's a problem with the META, not the person playing the way they want to play. Players are competitive - I get that - there is pressure to play a certain way in both PVP and PVE. I know some streamers have insisted that we can/should play off-meta builds and I try to do that (I have an Altmer hybrid). That's what they should be doing. Not talking down to people who don't play the META.

As for the META - there's a massive gap between what a meta build can achieve and what an off-meta build can achieve. I can accept there is a difference at all but I do think the gap is too big because the ceiling is so high for META builds. That comes down to the insane power of certain armor combinations. It's impossible to predict all the possible combinations and how they can become overpowering. But word gets out and many people start using those combinations. If you don't use those combinations, you get steamrolled. And that can take some of the fun out of PVP, especially when META players are toxic towards non-META players with their comments in chat (teammates saying you "suck") and things like tea-bagging. It's just a frustrating part of playing competitive games.

OMG, I HATE THAT YOU CAN"T USE POTION WHILE RUNNING, GAAAAHHH and yes it really lag to the point it wont go off, but most of the time its because you are running or sprinting. Why can't we just click it once and be done with it!!!!!!!

Interesting ideas posted here. Some posts were more constructive than others. Here is a summary of the main issues brought up, as well as some thoughts:

    - Performance - almost everyone brought this up, obviously the most important thing but devs are already working on it.
    - A new server would def alleviate many performance-related issues. I also live in an Oceanic country and find it difficult to play on either server because of time zones etc. Free migration of players between servers and potentially server-wide settings
    - P2W. As much as we'd want everything to be free in this game, they gotta make money somehow. However, some features are indeed necessary to play to the game - e.g. playing without the crafting bag is unthinkable.
    - PvP problems affecting PvE. It has been brought up in another thread that skills could function differently. It is true that most nerfs come from people who moan because they keep losing in PvP.
    - Nerfs and changes to skills and sets - major problem indeed, part of marketing new content etc. Like someone pointed out, good players will always find the meta builds so this problem will never be resolved. Just don't change the game too much, especially after people spent days farming sets/skills.
    - Many problems ascribed to ESO are actually due to players, e.g. rude players, ball groups, etc.
    - Inventory - the game indeed has more items available now but inv space has remained constant.
    - Basic features and add-ons - some core features such as minimaps could indeed be part of the base game so players wouldn't have to resort to add-ons that decrease performance.

And to add my own top-3:

    1) Resources returned are based on weapon type and not highest attribute
    2) The need to jump over a tiny step or being unable to climb a small rock (haha)
    3) Far too many options for char customisation (skills, sets, etc.), yet some basic options like a 1h+rune or bard class are missing
