Every zone, every dungeon adds new sets. Dropped, crafted either way the cadence for content and adding six new sets to the game every quarter is getting ridiculous, unimaginative, and possibly unsustainable for the games long term health. Don't get me wrong, I love having options and variety to play with. But between storage issues, and things starting to feel like minorly tweaked reitterations pumped out just to help sell new content only to become obsolete in the next balance patch or two, it just seems less and less appealing to me. Feels less creative with each new group of sets. Perhaps it's time to start talking about other design paths to reward players, or other visions on yearly engagements.
As for False God nerf, yeah you will lose a tiny amount of damage from this set, but to say it will become obsolete, wow.
Sometimes i read these forums and i get the feeling that most PVE posters are all perfect dps machines that can only function with the absolute BIS gear and nothing else.

The only set problem I can see in ESO is that the old good sets are nerfed in the sake of making new ones more appealing.
Be like me, wear Hunding + Spriggan for ages
On the more serious note - while I'm a tad concerned with growing number of sets (and motifs while we are at it) they all are still different enough and there are still new sets I get all "oh, that would fit one of my characters nicely!" about.
But I'm a potato, I don't min-max, I don't play competitively so I'm not worried about staying on the absolute top with my gear

If that happens, we ought to be able to decon sets that we golded or transmuted and get most of our resource investment back. Currently, if I decon a gold armor piece, I MAY get ONE gold upgrade material. Stupid. Increase that up to a guaranteed chance to get back 3/4ths of the crafting materials back if we decon, and that solves two problems at once. We get our hard-earned materials back and storage is less of an issue because now instead of holding onto legacy gold sets in case they're rebuffed, its just as economical to decon.
Some of y'all jump to some strange conclusions. Just going to point out some quantities for you.
Light Armor: 105 five piece sets
Medium Armor: 97 five piece sets
Heavy Armor: 97 five piece sets
Crafted Armor: 59 five piece sets
