Unnecessary "%" server calculations - What about poisons

Zos is doing a lot of effort to reduce unnecessary "%" server calculations, changing many sets that have not seen much use to begin with. Buffing unused sets is something that makes me happy regardless but I'm not sure it will make much difference performance wise. On the other hand, you have poisons which are very popular in PvP. I never understood the reason for making the poison 20% chance to apply while glyphs having 100%. Just feel Unnecessary and clunky. If poisons are too strong for 10 CD, just increase the CD.

What do you think?

Depends on what's lagging the server. Counters for proc sets might not be the same for the poisons. Since I don't think poisons are asynchronous like sets because they don't stack.

it has been asked plenty of time over years. having poisons cooldown separate from one another (just like enchants) too, but still, all poisons keep on sharing the same 10s cooldown (so that you cant efficiently use poison on 2bars) and keeping that sensless % proc chance.

i'm rpetty sure we'll have to wait 3/4 years before poisons reach enough impact for ZoS combat team to have a look at them.

Sounds you know what you are talking about. I did't know there is a difference.

Having shared CD is more related to overall balance. The 20% thing is just a strange RNG that could be easily replaced with additional CD if needed. Especially if it helps the lag.

well, that was just to say that zos does not pay attention to poisons yet. even if fixing it would take 3min.

It's just jargon. Don't let me fool you. Lol

If it is the chance counters are the issue it might be worth it looking in to. Seeing how poisons follow a different set of "rules", that might not be the same issue they are tackling rn. Idk their code. Just know how others do it.

Stabbing someone with a poisoned sword should poison your target. Idk where they got this RNG chance from. If anything it should be the other way around, it should be a % chance to CONSUME a poison charge (assuming it is properly balanced).
