Vampire rollback quest bug

After becoming a vampire through the quest line by having my blood drained in the pool, i'm told to test my powers out by preying on 10 worm assassins. However, if i choose not to prey on said assassins, and instead leave after becoming a vampire, you are reverted back to normal. Which i might add is particularly annoying for anyone low level who wants to become a vampire, as they can't do it unless they defeat the level 40 worm assassins, despite already having the powers, and supposedly becoming a vampire.

Shutting off vampirism to the lower levels is a bad move, we don't want to reach end game then have vampire powers, we want them as soon as possible, so we can enjoy most of the games content with them.

Personally, I'd rather see vampirism level-gated.

I am with Jake on this, I would prefer to see vampirism level-gated. However, the quest is possible on low levels; my dragonknight has it at level 14 and I know people have done it many levels below that. The vampire quest is not 'bugged' but designed that way.
ZoS Ambassadors please do not bother responding to me because I have you on ignore. Your input is neither valued or welcomed.

I'm also fine with how its currently working, though this thread has little to do with actual customer support. You have to go into a high level zone to get the vampire bite, people that get a bite from a player shouldnt have any easier job becoming a vampire then getting it via mob bite

Doesn't make sense, i'm a vampire already, then suddenly not a vampire anymore because i didn't kill some mob, its just poor design, makes no sense in terms of story, and makes it near impossible for low levels to aquire

I think it boils to question of what is deemed acceptable for Vampire?

A level 7 Sorcerer in a guild commented on having just completed it through some pains but eventually in that setting. Personally I completed at level 19 without much fuss utilizing CC and other tactics.

What's more to consider is the slow growth for Vampire until higher levels, relatively and regardless. I'm just into rank 3 a bit and about middle of level 26, and retain all the detriments with hardly any benefits that come with higher ranks. It's not a stroll in the park per se, so I would bear that in mind~

    Its not a bug.

I really wish ZOS actually made it tougher to complete the turning ritual personally.

Why should it be tougher? I see no real reason, in other elder scrolls games it is easy, why should this one be the exception?

While i'm not gonna hate on ppl who are using game mechanics to their benefit, Gods know i do whenever possible, there is just something wrong imo when lvl 7 characters can take down lvl 40+ mobs to complete the turning quest. Level 7 guy, i mean really...

Difficulty of leveling the skill line is fine imo. You are going to have to kill a lot of mobs to get lvl 10 vampire. And you are going to have to constantly be on the lookout for good fire resist enchantments(unless you can make them, but as i am not an enchanter i don't know), along with heath regen enchantments, if you want to be a slightly less brittle glass cannon.

As for other TES games, can't honestly compare in this instance can you? Let's take Skyrim for example, as many ppl i have seen continually want TESO to be Skyrim v2.0 for some reason.

You have to either catch the infection during a fight you survive with a vampire or from a NPC if you have the proper expansion. In TESO, you just have to get hit a few times by NPCs or get infected by another player character. You don't even have to survive the NPC attack. Yes, yes, i know ppl are paying silly/dumb amounts to be bitten, but that's really a whole separate issue and if anything shows yet another example of how *** easy it is to become a vampire in TESO.

I'm not one of those closet sadists who believe that a game has to break my soul in terms of difficulty to be good. But i also think that gaining access to to a powerful skill line should be a bit more involved than it currently is in TESO. When i see ppl in my guild clamoring to get their low level alts turned...
