I'm still really new to these events. So my question is, "Can anyone clarify the fishing part of this event?" Are they dailies where you need to turn in a certain number of fish? If so, can we start fishing early to stock up?

    Thank you,
    Jedi

Fishing in Summerset or Artaeum can provide additional loot containers, specific to these zones, that's it. And I have doubts that ZOS suddenly will improve fishing loot for event - they never did so before

39 tickets for a 2 berry event is a lower amount than usual.

@Jedaii_Knight I have asked in the official discussion thread if there is anything more that we can expect from fishing than normal, but I'd expect not. That is:
    • No, there are no fishing-related daily repeatable quests (nor quests of any sort)
    • No, there is no real need or point in going fishing early (before the event starts), other than to just get it done and over with so that you can focus on other (more rewarding) activities during the event.
As mentioned by @Nairinhe above, if you go fishing in Summerset or Arteum, in additional to the usual rare (vendor trash treasure) fish or heavy sacks (random materials), there is normally a chance that you can receive a (blue) Pyandonean urn (with a small chance of containing a motif page), or in Arteum, you can also get some (bound) special recipes. In addition since Greymoor, there is a chance of getting an antiquity lead from fishing, e.g. the "Coral Plating" component of the Thrassian Stranglers drops from fishing in Arteum. (I could not find any indications of a lead that drops from fishing in Summerset though.)

Specifically for this event, my guess is that you can possibly also get a Summerset Coffer (rarely) when fishing. The Murkmire event coffer drop rate was super low though, so spending two hours of fishing just to maybe get one coffer might be a bit frustrating, if the drop rate is the same...
