COD Mail trading, max. expiration time

The past few days I have been trading a lot of materials with people through zone chat (which I prefer over Guild Store). Most of them ask me to COD mail them the materials, so I do. However, so far I have had several people who simply do not accept my COD mail and I get stuck with no money and no materials up to a maximum of 30 days (so far it's only been 3 days though).

It might be a personal preference, but perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to decrease the period in which people can accept a COD mail to say, 72 to 120 hours maximum.

    Agree, you should be able to define a time on the COD mail when you send it how long you would like the trade to remain active before returning to you unpaid. 24, 48, 72 hour options would be brilliant.

    I'm in this boat also. Still waiting on my gold or the items back.

    I think it should be no longer than 24hrs. COD is not a way to get something at a lower price from someone else.

    Sometimes mail bugs though... 72 hours seems reasonable though.

    I agree with the 24 hour period. Players wanting an item and then neither accepting it or refusing is getting way out of hand. Why are they doing this, simple Zenimax is allowing this type of player fraud to continue with no punishment implemented on the players doing it. The sellers suffer and the fraud players sit back and laugh. In addition to the 24 hour max wait time if by then the player has not accepted or refused the items her or she requested they should have to pay a fine to the seller amount determined by Zenimax. That would stop these COD fraud games.

    here to bump thread, as i agree with your sentiments;

    hardly a fraud however; this is just Zeni underestimating how (self censored) MMO players are. System works as intended. Just that..what they "intended" was not immature individuals causing grief to others just for the sake of it :)
