What happens to old quests if you restart in a new alliance at Veteran 1 (a.k.a. level 50)?

This may have been asked and answered elsewhere but I didn't see it in my search results. I have a two quests, a few achievements, and a skyshard I want to complete in my starting alliance. I have finished the main quest line for the first time and can choose to "start over". Sounds great! But will I somehow "lose" any progress for those zones I've done? And since all roads lead to Coldharbor, and considering that a bit of my unfinished business is there, does that somehow "reset"? I'd like to know before I start some new alliance and then realize I've left those points and achievements on the table. I am 99% the answer is something like, "Of course not! That wouldn't make sense and would undermine the player's accomplishments! How silly!" But I would rather ask anyway to be sure.

When you're VR1 the old quests even give between 3k and 9k VR-XP, which is a lot compared to how easy they are. You don't lose any progress.Noricum
Thx to Giny, Sarana, Thaili, Derra, Cherahim, Gloy, Raweelz and Drimacus, you make the game worth playing even with AoE-caps, no usefull progression past Assault / Support Rank 10, and with PvP being not even close to balanced.

Good to have it confirmed, some wording elsewhere had me wondering. But yeah, I don't expect much xp, I just want to do them for achievements, not leveling.

Nasuradin_ESO✭✭✭you keep all your waypoints and progress and can freely teleport between factions like the new faction is just the next zone on your progression treadmill, since you will be in a VR1+ version of the zones for that faction, the only players you will run into are other VR1+ people from your faction.1
