You can't pay for others accounts

So after 15 years of MMO's, I've had plenty to times when I paid for friends accounts. I tried to do that today and discovered you can't. The subscription service will always put the account holders name on the card (ESO account, not bank), so you cannot borrow from friends or parents for your subscription.
Are you serious Zenimax? How are you guys screwing up so much? I'm hitting more bugs after 1.04 than I hit in all the betas.

Because it's evident none here have had any experience with payments, PR, communication, community management, reporting, ticket systems... I paid for my partner's account... When I saw that his name would go on my card though, I changed from credit card to paypal.2 -

Thorntongue✭✭✭Just change the name of the game account holder to yours then you can pay with your card. I have to do this when paying with my wife's credit card, which I am authorized to use. Once you make the payment, change the game account holder name back to your friend's.0

Yeah, it's frightening to say the least. Even UO didn't have this issue with multiple accounts.0 -

I keep wondering why they didn't bother to look at how other, modern MMOs, as in major competitors, are doing thing. That's just good business sense.

I set up both accounts to be paid for through my card it never tried to put her name on the card. direct deposit really you could at least try.
