There's Florence and the Machine. She's a Dunmer named Florence who used to be a dungeon delver along with her brother Gelvin. But after stumbling into a Dwemer ruin and being attacked by Dwemer constructs, Gelvin was gravely injured after throwing himself in the path of a Dwarven Sphere's bolt. Florence destroyed the sphere but wasn't going to be able to save Gelvin. With his dying breaths he asked her to check his pack, which had a journal and a soul gem. The journal was filled with information about how it was believed the Dwemer used the souls of their slaves to seal them into soul gems to power their automatons. Desperate to save her brother, Florence sealed his soul inside the gem and placed it into the defeated sphere. At first it didn't seem to work, but then it sputtered to life. To her delight, the sphere seemed to respond and react to her voice, indicating that Gelvin's spirit was indeed inside it.
They continued exploring after that, but it soon dawned on Florence that while she would continue to age, her brother would likely live forever. So she sought out a coven of vampires and petitioned them to turn her. After completing their ritual and tests, she became a vampire so that she could continue to live and explore alongside her brother for the rest of eternity.
This here is Van. He's dashing. He's sexy. And he's loyal to his Blood Matron, carrying out whatever bloody work needs to be done.
And this is Karliah Indaris, a bloodthirsty assassin who kills without hesitation or remorse.1 -
