Why are the new vamp lord monster set (Q3 DLC) and BloodLord's embrace both tanking items?

What in Y'ffre's name is this? o.0

dev cheats are effecting the values, my friend

Not the values I'm confused about. More about the use of this set.

Is this to ensure Mag DDs use Blood for Blood as their spammable?

I hope not because what about Arterial Burst? No, its probably meant to ease players into using Blood Frenzy because for some reason "it ticks all the boxes of what its like to be a vampire!". This set is incredibly confusing the more I look at it...

Did miss this, my fault. Well, now it is seem pretty weird, so is it a damage set or tank set? Why two different cooldowns, why disease and major maim? I have so many questions and no one to answer me.

Pretty much what I was alluding to, its a weird set of values, debuffs, and damage types that don't synergize with each other. The major maim being 5 seconds with a 30 second cooldown, while the damage synergy having a 10 second cooldown make it enticing to keep proccing, yet a Tank has no reason to "spam" balance or altar, and a stamina dps does not have the tools to "spam" health cost abilities, this set seems to entice Vampires the most (dominant magicka) and makes sense as a Vampire Lord monster set, yet the damage type is the opposite of what a magdps wants, so i guess its for Stampires or magpires who want to pad the damage of their stamina dps ? Hopefully it will be addressed as we go through the PTS..

And how they both cater to a tanking play style when the vampire skill line is not a tanking line.

It's worth noting that pre-Greymoor, vampire was actually something many tanks ran, because of the resource regeneration passives and the way that the effectiveness of incoming damage was reduced as health got lower (in the higher stages). Essentially, vamp itself, in stage 3 and 4, made for a "tanky" set of passives. The Greymoor changes have gotten rid of that, of course. Perhaps this is a way of trying to re-introduce the possibility of vampire as a viable play option for tanks?

But I still don't think it's fair that BOTH of the new very unique and 'rare' vampire themed item sets revolve around tanking when the skill line has nothing to do with that?

They could of done a lot more creative things with these items.
