Why are the new vamp lord monster set (Q3 DLC) and BloodLord's embrace both tanking items?

Why is the effect of this monster set literally just another bloodball?

Why not give something new that relates to vampire lords? Like something that involves bats or death hounds or....something we haven't seen before?

Only kinda irked about this because we already have a bloodball set. Disappointed that the vampire lord monster helm is just that, but it deals damage more or less.

Also another point: Why are the TWO new vampire sets added into the game made for tanks? Yet the skill line is for DPS? I'm so confused.

    Even more curious, it deals disease damage yet the condition is a skill that costs health, now very rarely will a Stamina DPS or a Tank use health for something. But a Magicka DPS nowadays? If your a Vampire that proc condition is handed to you on a silver platter. Yet the damage type they chose scales off Stamina...very weird decision, and not one I am in favor with

    I am more worried about 44 ulti gen set when you drink potion... Sounds like something that will make groups to spam ultis, not skill lol :o:#

    probably try to give stamina vampires something...that only use the blood frenzy skill, but I dont know anyone that does that

    First of monster set plus harmony..... Yeah..... Nice one zos.... Second is the new armor set 44 ult for drinking a potion to you and 3 group mates while nb only gets 10 ult for only themselves..... They legit stole from nbs and improve it

    Wait really? Imagine making a vampire lord monster helm that scales with stamina as dmg over magicka.

    I will be making posts about that on the PTS side of the forums come Monday if it is still like that.

    Synergy damage scales with the person activating it. So anyone can use that set, and stamina DDs can activate the synergy.

    They can do that by messing with the skills. Not gimping the only vamp lord monster set we'll ever get.

    Thats fair, If a tank needs the sulf sustain or a group needs the lifesteal yes. But I still cant wrap my head around it though, why would a tank use this over any of the more popular tanking sets? Its written as a somewhat selfish damage choice (assuming it spawns at your location, need to do PTS testing to see) So unless you have a stamina dps hugging you as youre tanking (Which in my experience, rarely ever heard of) I dont see alot of point to it...but this is all just theorizing right now, PTS starts monday and it will be 5 weeks available of testing!

    The guy on the stream had some crazy god-mode dev settings that we don't have access to. It will be much lower for us, thankfully. Though I can see this making things even more bonkers in Cyrodiil.

    Did miss this, my fault. Well, now it is seem pretty weird, so is it a damage set or tank set? Why two different cooldowns, why disease and major maim? I have so many questions and no one to answer me.

    Exactly, now you get it why I'm so confused by this set!

    It's a damage set with tanking stats/effects that has nothing to do with magicka either. (Which idk why both the mythic and monster set for vampires deals with tanking...)

    New monster set will probably replace any other in PvE , bfb is already got to go spammable and having 8dds using this is extra synergy=sustain and damage every 10 seconds, plus self synergy to keep lokke up. Way OP.

    It's worth noting that pre-Greymoor, vampire was actually something many tanks ran, because of the resource regeneration passives and the way that the effectiveness of incoming damage was reduced as health got lower (in the higher stages). Essentially, vamp itself, in stage 3 and 4, made for a "tanky" set of passives. The Greymoor changes have gotten rid of that, of course. Perhaps this is a way of trying to re-introduce the possibility of vampire as a viable play option for tanks?
