Under the Fighter's Guild skill line, the description of the Silver Bolts skill reads, "Fire a Dawnguard Vampire Hunter's crossbow bolt to strike the enemy for 739 Physical Damage."
So they definitely exist but so far anything having to do with them is tied up behind a stamina oriented skill line. I want a true Dawnguard skill line that includes magicka skills (preferably with passive bonuses for mortals).
This depends on who you actually ask. Not everyone sees the stars and sun as holes as far as I remember.😉TX12001rwb17_ESO wrote: »It also says on the Templar abilities "call down a fragment of the sun" when it is supposed to be a hole to Aetherius.

You seem to have found your answer. Though it seems Zos has rolled the two groups together so I doubt they will create dawnguard skill line.

There's more that can be done, thematically, especially on the magic side. A skill line would be great.
This made me laugh.tsaescishoeshiner wrote: »They seem to want to differentiate ESO from TES:V to reduce competition between the games and avoid criticism for just copying Skyrim.

Magicka has the mages guild. Regardless, my comments do seem to sum up how Zos chose to handle the dawnguard.

It wouldn't make sense for werewolves and vamps, true. But they could have the choice to still do it (because some people don't care about the RP side of Elder Scrolls). I think they the passive bonuses should incentivize being mortal to make the skill line worth it. Mortals need some love too.

You're missing the point of my post. I never said that there wasn't a skill line for magicka users. I'm specifically asking for a skill line that is for Vampire/Werewolf hunting like the Fighter's Guild but includes magicka skills - this is what the Dawnguard actually has in Skyrim.

It is really as simple as Zos has made one guild skill line for stam and one for Magicka and it somewhat makes sense. Also, that Dawnguard has clearly been combined with Fighter's guild. It would not make sense to have a Dawnguard skill line when the fighter's guild has a skill using a Dawnguard weapon.
In addition to that, I am firmly against homogenization and this idea seems to fall into that since it wants for magicka what stam has.
