thats a silly comment...Tank does control the fight, or should. But aoe taunt just isnt needed, period. Unless you really really suck.....

Adding this would require a full redesign of dungeons to make it so that gameplay wasn't reduced to the tank holding permablock while the healer keeps them alive and the DDs melt stuff with impunity. That gameplay is boring.
Would it work with stampede? Or ww pounce?stefan.gustavsonb16_ESO wrote: »As mentioned above, a Templar can gain access to a real, working AoE taunt by wearing the Tormentor set and using the Explosive Charge morph of Focused charge [snip]

The set description says "When you deal direct damage with a Charge, Leap, Teleport or Pull ability, you gain 3642 Physical and Spell Resistance and taunt the enemy to attack you for 15 seconds. " The trick is you need to do direct AoE damage to perform an AoE taunt. Stampede does AoE DoT, which does not trigger the taunt. Brutal Pounce should do the trick, but right now it seems as if it doesn't work. (I have no werewolf charcters myself, so I can't verify.)

It's a niche build, not really useful for trials or veteran DLC dungeons, but it does make it possible to taunt absolutely everything in sight. I can recommend trying it for fun. However, I can testify from personal experience that the game is not designed around that kind of tanking and does not require it. You will end up holding a lot more aggro than people expect, and needing quite a lot of heals (either from yourself or from a healer) to make up for the amount of beating you take from having a dozen mobs pummeling you all at once. Most mobs are weak, but they can make up for that in numbers...

No, we don't need one.areeb14_ESO wrote: »Until you get that one guy who dashes to other groups in a Vet dungeon and pulls them back on you. Leaving you unable to grab the 12+ enemies who are chasing around the other 2 players.
Tell them to stop, and if they don't, vote to kick. DPS are a dime a dozen.

yeah but bad dps outweigh good dps 10:1. Kicking a dps who puts out good numbers could result in getting a dps who is so bad you can't finish the dungeon. Unless you're kicking and kicking and kicking... thats just no fun either.
An AoE taunt has not been added to the game because an AoE taunt is not needed for any PvE content in the game.
Exactly this. There is absolutely no need for an AOE taunt whatsoever. DD's and healers are not as squishy as they are in other MMO's, they don't just fall over after getting one hit from a random mob. PLUS they can still cast while being attacked, so there is no need to taunt everything away from them.

Edit: Wait, tormentor is an AoE taunt?
I hear you buddy, as a fellow Tank who does rando vets I've seen everything and a lot of those kind of players just do not get it at all and are most likely kicked a lot from dungeons and trials and probably do not care either. I asked one guy once politely to let me pull the bosses and Trash was fine and he told me to pull his ***. There's just no team work or etiquette.

Back when I used to queue solo as a tank to help the GF I would suggest to the group they can find a new tank because of that certain player's behavior. It is amazing how quickly they did a vote to kick a jerk when losing their tank can be an issue.
No because ESO don't care about tank content.
I disagree. I can't help but think how boring tanking could be if we could AoE taunt. Having to range taunt archers and other evil doers is one of the fun parts of being a tank. Would be extremely boring to saunter into a room, throw down a cone then hold block for a while.
