MAJOR issues

KarsenH

I've taken a look at the current issues under scrutiny and have determined that NONE are of necessity to the playability, however, this megaserver concept has been failing consisitantly for the past two and a half weeks.

I've been patient, it's a newly released game. Fully understandable... but the lack of attention to the priorities is so frustrating I don't even want to play my favorite game anymore... I've, on rare occasions, experienced launches (with betas) that have gone this rough. I only say that because I can't even play the game 80% of the time.

Personal known issues:

1. Failing wayshrines
2. Forever load screens
3. Hits not registering (missing constantly/not syncing)
4. Extreme lag spikes
5. Email verification (smallest of problems, clearly, yet a topic of current review..)
6. Failing map (I can NEVER see where I really am as it displays my position regardless of what zone, similarly to wayshrines. As well, I often can't even zoom out of the zone I'm in. I can NEVER zoom out when I'm inside of a city or dungeon. Attached a nice picture)
7. Failing chat (no chat shows up, another small issue but again one that's taken priority for some reason)

EDIT ADD

8. None of my UI works, including spells. I can just walk around and look good (as good as I can in the current armor..)
9. Stuck on logging out and in at 0
10. I get a nice Campaign map overlay of the castles etc. in the middle of Coldharbour

All my previous posts have been constructive and understanding, this one was constructive as well out of annoyance.

EDIT

Also, to make clear to people - TROLL comments are NOT welcome. - I'm not flaming out of my face mad, I'm frustrated because it's a fantastic game with so much potential that I can't even play!

Karsen

Agreed. All of these need to be addressed immediately.

Thank you for your response! I'm glad you agree and I hope as well that it'll be fixed soon. Especially those with clearly the utmost importance.

These problems have been raised before and the threads subsequently shutdown.
The game simply wasn't ready for launch. It had similar issues in BETA and nothing was fixed.

Undoubtedly, however, this is a more professional (not a total rage post) pointing out the issues in a manner more suited for pointing out the issues.

The game most DEFINITELY wasn't ready for release, I agree on that 100%.

What are all of those X's on your map?

Only had number 1 due to a minimap addon I had installed, though I have to agree that the map is awkward at best. What really gets me are the Cyrodiil crashes.

Personally, the only issue on your list that I've experienced is the forever loading in transit bug. This happened to me 4 times yesterday and is very annoying. Haven't a clue about the others. Otherwise the only other one I hate is the one where you have to reload to get certain quests working right. I haven't really noticed anything else that I would consider a big deal.

None of these (and I agree, they need fixing) will be fixed quickly as, basically, if you start rushing through code changes for a launched game, you will break other things. It's a shame as the game itself is great, but simple things like getting stuck at load screens as very basic stability, those problems existed waaaaay back in early beta and PTS all the time, and they just weren't fixed.

Only one on the list I have experienced is the forever load screens, and then only since the latest patch. Otherwise no problems.

There needs to be so much fixed on this game. I have had the problems listed. Oh and I have to add bugged quests and getting stuck in mage's or fighter's solo instances.

Nice to look up and see your name as offline.

I also am trying to be patience, but it is becoming tedious just to play anymore. To much frustration of what will happen next each time you make a move in Elder Scrolls Online, and I'm not talking about the good feeling.

Will I forever load? Will I have to relog 100 times today to just to get something to work? Will my skills work? Will I get stuck in the air? Will I wait forever to get in an instance just to find out it is also broken? Will I be banned for some unknown or unjustified reason?

Had a NPC mess up recently when giving a vital quest message, seemed he was relooping on three words, and no it wasn't intending..

I want to talk to my fiancé about canceling our sub, there is other games out there that are a bit more player friendly and customer service friendly (though I find as time goes on customer service to a lot of companies is just paste and copy replies, but ESO is one of the worst to date for me).

We love this game, but dealing with gold spammers and their bots, broken quests, broken server, broken characters, unknown things that get folks banned or people banned and then let back in because ESO messed up is just a bit much to pay 15 a month for, and the maintenance isn't helping but breaking more things.

I love the game, fell in love with it the first beta test. I just don't think I love the headaches. Playing a game should make you feel good, relax, etc...it should not give you headaches, sigh, or silently swear under your breath.

Those are a leveling guide addon I used when I didn't realize mob grinding was better :P I'd provide the name, however, not sure that advertising is permitted. Starts with a Z.

I had that installed as well, however, removed it and reloaded my UI many times since. :\

That one seems to be the most prominent one for sure. I've experienced that problem so many times now as well as many of my friends.

Yeah, that would definitely be another one, however, I'm reserving my frustration not for questing right now but for playability. My biggest issue is the ignorance behind the megaserver. There are so many reasons why that is a bad idea:

    1. Overpopulation down the road (leads to plethora of problems eg; lack of mobs/resources especially because of bots)
    2. Lag spikes
    3. Over latency which inadvertently is causing many other problems

Thank you all for your replies!

all this has already been reported. multiple posts on same issue is not helping.

Yes, but apparently it isn't being fixed either or even a word from the techs if they are thinking of fixing it. If they would give their customers a heads up or some information about the issues, you know the whys and hows of the situations there would be no need to repeat over and over these complaints.

That I wasn't even aware of! I thought that problem was handled, despite all the improper bans lol!

This post is here to help me as well as some others gain insight into current problems, not only to raise it's attention in a professional manner. As you can see from above I just found something else out I wouldn't have known. If you don't like it, it seems pointless to get involved hmm?

Thank you both for the reply.
