That would be nice but people managing the game are probably in the US and even on the west coast. You can get people to work at night but usually the working hour is way more expansive.
You're telling me that this multi million dollar company refuses to pay someone a night shift so that their thousands of EU costumers can enjoy the game during daytime? Shows how much they care about us.

Either this or workers refuse to work at night for a mere game ;-)
Post-scriptum : Modern servers have 100% uptime, they are patched live with modern modular software design, we are not expecting that for a game...
You would? To each their own I guess. I do server maintenance, and over the course of the last few years I *really* came to hate night shifts/extra shifts/on-call duty. So much, in fact, that I finally - and happily - sacrificed the extra quid for regular working hours.Ciana_Rilian wrote: »They're not working for a mere game, they're working for a salary. if lets say i would get a 25% salary bonus because i would work from 1am to 6 am i would be all over that.

It's not. You'd be surprised just how starkly similar Elite Dangerous has these types of issues. The difference is that game doesn't even bother fixing them.
In fact we have to vote just to convince FD to look at them.

Speak for yourself, no downtime deploys should be standard for games (especially for alleged AAA game companies). Other games manage it, like Guild Wars 2 for example, which is two years older than this game. It is laughable that some games still have weekly maintenance downtime in 2020, no wonder the gaming industry has the reputation it does.
