Stuck moving slow

My character is stuck at walking speed. However when I activate walk it moves even slower.

This happened after the main storyline quest you get at level 20 and fight the spirit that summons the skeletons. I noticed an effect called 'overwhelming power' added when pressing 'C' and there's no timer on it. Re-logging does not fix the issue.

Short question, character moves slow, how to fix?

No one has ever made me feel grateful after they told me to 'Just die'.

Thank you, this fixed the problem. xD

@DDemon I've had this issue since I did one of the main story quests out of The Harborage. I also noticed the Overwhelming Power debuff. I of course didn't think to die but that worked, and the debuff is gone. Thanks!

It is refreshing to see this positive a response to replies telling the OP that they should just kill themself. :)

I'm just leaving this comment here for anyone that is moving slow and it hasn't something with quests to do: There is a button (can't remember which one, go to controls in the settings to see it) that you can click to change from walking to running. Click it if you are just walking. This might seem to be obvious to some but maybe not, I dunno.

After I did a Main line Quest I had same issue. I noticed I had a skill called "Overwelming Power" showing by the mundas stone buff. Once I found a nice troll to beat me into oblivion, the buff was gone and I could walk again.

    Death solves it.

I had the same problem after I died during the final battle of a quest. I respawned at the dungeon entrance, but wasn't able to move at more than a snail's pace.

Death didn't solve this though, at least not by using /stuck. Exiting the cave luckily did.

Hehe i do love the black humor that pervades TES games.

"Hey Bob, say the player beats this crazy mission without dieing, should we leave the stat effect on them?"

    "Of course!"

"And if they want to remove it?"

"......?!?! I got it! They can take a header off a cliff!"

    :D

First off, the walk/run option in the controls is not bound by default. I bound it to a key to try and fix this problem...and actually walked slower! This also impacts the horse, he's practically moon-walking it's so slow. The speed is very close to the crouch speed, so when I crouch it's almost as fast as trying to sprint.
I can watch my stamina go down as I try and sprint to no effect. Going into an instance eliminated my problem, but this has happened twice to me in the middle of battles and I've found no common trigger for the effect which is the worst part. Instances are rare in Cyrodiil, and walking slow there is a death sentence...worse than mud crabs...
