    I disagree.

I like to get a notification that my report has been accepted.

If you do not want the notification email then just filter it and that is that. What ? Don't know how to filter some email as spam or junk ? But it is 2014 and sorry but computer illiteracy is no excuse not even if (like me) there was no such thing a PC when you were born.

Complain about things that really matter such as bots, exploits and serious performance issues.

    Good for you that you like notifications...but you are missing the bigger picture;

The end result of the endless mailspam is that players stop reporting goldsellers, meaning they will be in game spamming their **** longer.

But at least you got your receipt right? :D

Agree with OP on email. Unnecessary, I want only mail from help request tickets and other IMPORTANT stuff.

Well then by your own effort you declare yourself as a spammer spamming the support team since it only takes 1 report from 1 individual to inform them, after they received that initial report it's all spam to them - should you then be banned for spamming?

I must agree with george.smithb16_ESO - I appreciate knowing my report was recieved. I've made rules for my mail with filters searching the content of the email- you report "Gold seller" to ESO - put "Gold seller" in that filter and it's gone or moved or whatever you set the rule to do.

That depends on how the Report is presented on their end.

But if you read the rest of my post, I didn't say they should stop responding...

I said they should have the reports trigger a Counter rather than an auto-responder.

Then have the Counter generate a response email every X amount of time that lists the reports you've sent during that period.

One mail, covering All the reports you've sent in X amount of time.
For most of us that means no longer going through email every day and deleting 30+ identical messages..

    email blah blah
    email blah blah 2
    email blah blah 3

    becomes
email blah blah, blah blah2, blah blah 3

I don't report gold spam/bots anymore. I tried to put in a ticket for a legitimate problem and they said I'd get a delayed response because I put in too many tickets.

And yeah, I don't appreciate my real email being spammed due to gold spam. Double win for them.

Indeed, We get spammed for reporting spammers.

If anything there should be an/on off option with the default set to off. You may want a replica email 30 times a day that has no more information than the in game client, but 99.99% of people don't.

Why should I have to start filtering my email because of spam mail for trying to help. If it does not stop I will stop reporting them, Simple. Who does that help?

agree wholeheartedly. there also just needs to be some sort of right click option or dedicated button for gold spam. Make it as quick and painless as possible.

We need a special button right next to the "Report Player" called "Report gold spammer".

No extra details required, just the press the button and done.

And then how would they get the screenshot, that affords them the proof, to allow them to actually take action?

perhaps if something like some sort of .. i don't know.. chat log thingy was invented, you know something that allowed ZOS to compress a months worth of chat logs for later review if somehow a player was to report another account for spamming....
no it'd never work ...forgive me
