Not sure about PS5 but MS has already said that if it plays currently on the XO, then it will on the Series X from day one.
I expect ZOs to have a (payed of course) upgrade tp next gen where you can keep your progress. So basically: Buy the game again on Next Gen, continue playing.

Why would you have to buy ESO again? As far as I'm aware both next gen consoles will have backward compatibility, which means you just have to put the disc in (or download), install and play.
Don't get me wrong guys, I totally expect that it will be possible to just download and install ESO on the next gen consoles and be done with it. However, as this is Bethesda after all, I can see them releasing a "High Quality Version" for PS5 and charge for it (and let's be honest, don't we all expect to see Skyrim Next Gen as well?)

I would love you to provide a link where Sony has explicitly said this will be the case. I await your link, with direct quotes from Sony themselves and no conjecture from others. So we're clear, a link that says it will be a simple case of re downloading ESO amongst other games.
As far as i can see, MS have more or less said what you are stating, but MS aren't Sony and Sony have been rather coy about it all thus far.
@Ruder too. You seem to think we're all thick asf, so feel free to provide a link too so you can call us ignorant. As far as I can tell, you're merely spouting what sounds good in your head, then calling others ignorant.
I may have missed the announcement from Sony, so I'm willing to hold my hands up if proven wrong. I'm big enough and ugly enough to take it on the chin if wrong.
