I wouldn't mind this but it shouldn't be cheap, honestly should be more expensive than a race change.
If it's cheap it will stop people from leveling up alt characters, and it devalues people that have invested the time on leveling them already.
Most old time players have a stam/magicka user of each class these days. And even if they dont they atleast have 1 of each class and just have the race change possibility.
ZOS has been resisting on making changes to characters since the beggining, but this is most likely the thoughest one to convince them.
However, as NB main that literally only has one character (because achievements aren't account bound), this is a change I would probably play around.
A few questions rise tho:
> Do all skill lines from class come maxed out and with morphs ready to go?
> If you change back to the original class, and the above isn't true. Is it true now?
And something else that they might consider:
> Allow players to boost (or even create off the bat) a lvl 50 character with all of the skill lines maxed and ready to morph. Skill points aren't that hard to get.
> Make achievements account bound (and maybe give use to the achievement score)

I am concerned that class changes will encourage players to FOMO (flavor of the month) where a player will change based on the current patch. It will cause a skew in the classes people are playing, and that could be harmful to the game in the long run.
I sympathize with you OP, but cannot agree.

Those are explicitly intended for alt characters.
Most of those sales go away when you introduce Class Change tokens and you can skip the releveling grind.
Class Change tokens are the sort of thing I expect to see when ESO is genuinely dying off, most players aren't willing to Level new alts, and the Devs are willing to sell instant gratification just to keep milking the game a little longer.

Yes that's my main point on the subject for all those investment to that one character over the years.Karmanorway wrote: »I agree i think its an excellent idea, im tired of playing stamsorc, but i have lots of achievements and a very high Alliance rank that i want to finish, which i dont have the years to regrind again.

Edit to add - It truly does break immersion and becomes a Pay to win move also.

Make class change token something between 25-30k crowns. That should cover the loss for character when u sum up riding lessons, shards, skill lines. May sound a bit high, but wouldn't get zos a loss in money.
Account wide achievemts would be a loss for them.
Think of the money zos. I want to give you some
I don't have a problem with it, personally. For a lot of us, we've invested a lot of time chasing achievements and special memories. If the class gets ruined by an update or something, but want to keep that history, it's reasonable to want a class change token. I could see them costing like 4k crowns or something.
Alternatively, they could allow class swapping on characters like FF14.
I do agree that if people are increasingly less interested in leveling characters, it doesn't bode well for the game.

FFXIV was designed as a multi-class game, ESO was not.
Many reasons for players losing interest have been put forward over the years, each with the claim that it didn't bode well for the game. Each one has been accompanied by a further increase in the game's popularity.

They said that about faction change tokens too and low and behold we now have faction change tokens.
