Aetherial Dust - where drop?

I know, non-dlc zone gathering (got 1 time) but in every site i don't see for example Clagron. Anyone drop Aetherial Dust in Clagron...

All over the place but it's a rare drop

Alik'r Desert, Auridon, Bal Foyen, Bangkorai, Betnikh, Bleakrock Isle, Coldharbour, Cyrodiil, Deshaan, Eastmarch, Glenumbra, Grahtwood, Greenshade, Khenarthi's Roost, Malabal Tor, Reaper's March, The Rift, Rivenspire, Shadowfen, Stonefalls, Stormhaven, Stros M'Kai. Just remember the word RARE. Happy hunting.

It's a random drop from nodes all over the world. There are no zones attached to the drop table.

Aetherial Dust does not drop from Craglorn because it has nirncrux instead, nor any other zone that has something "else" on its drop table, such as the viridian dust from Vvardenfell.

Only in the base game zones(zones with the main alliance quest lines and cold harbor) its a random drop in resource nodes with a low drop rate.

The cipher for the recipe also drops in those zones but only on mobs as far as I know with one of the lowest drop rates in the game.

It does not drop in Craglorn that is a DLC zone.

In 3yrs of playing it's only dropped twice for me. Although during an event earlier this year I got 3 lots from the gift boxes.

it drops in any base game zone however as everybody else has said it is rare af

as in... in my 4.4K hours playing I've gotten a total of two (2) drops of it...ever.

Low doesn't even begin to describe the drop rate on that thing.

A friendly tip, don't farm for this, it will drive you mad. Instead, farm for gold and buy it from a guild trader, it will be far less maddening.

Cyrodiil is the best place to farm it IMO. Not only do you get to kill people silly enough to attack you, you can find a lot. Once I found over 5 in a 2 hour period in there. Plus plenty of Kuta and heavy sacks where people do not go.

It does not drop in Craglorn that is a DLC zone.

Craglorn is a base game zone, not DLC. But as Varanis said, it has its own rare drop from nodes.

I've only found one in my 5 years of playing this game from a flower in Bangkorai. Ended up selling it for like 100k gold because I wanted a piece of furniture in Coldharbour's weekly shop.

I got both dust and ciphers from the Anniversary Gift Boxes. My sister has had better luck on both fronts and has found at least two ciphers just doing random things. So, your mileage will vary?

Any vanilla zone, so any zone that the game shipped with.

Only realistic chance of getting one is from event boxes though.

i see people who are low level getting drops for this for the first time ad they sell it in zone chat for less than guild prices sometime.

It would also help if yousave up your survey maps and used a low level toon to go do surveys and gather nodes along the way... but dont hold your breath while you look.

Level has nothing to do with your chances of finding Aetherial Dust, similar to nirncrux. This is absolutely no reason to use a low level toon for surveys unless for some reason you want low level mats from your survey, or its alchemy where level doesn't matter.

I've probably gotten about 8-10 Aetherial dust from hours and hours of farming on my max level farmer. Most of those came from tbe starter islands like Stros M'kai, not really because those have a better drop rate but because A) the nodes are common and close together, making it faster to farm, and B.) that's where I was farming for hours and hours.

If you want it simply farm gold. 60-100k an hour is totally possible so less than two hours for one if you play on PC EU. Might take you hundreds of hours to actively farm for it.

As far as I know aetherial dust can drop from anywhere at anytime. Though after 6 years of ESO....not a single drop ever, well drop rate is probably quite low. Aetherial dust is definitely a rare item.
