You can also remove (then re-add) the summoning ability from your bar to despawn your bear.
I do agree that any pets, summonables, anything else, should NOT have collision, because if I had a penny for every time one of them blocked a chest/door/NPC for someone, I'd be rich.

Huh. Hadn't heard about that.
yeah i mixed that with the sorc clanfear - my bad sorry. I unsummon the bear via character sheet - right click on it and gone. The list of active effects there, the bear is listed there and can be unsummoned by right clicking on it - on pc at least.
