What Antiquity level do you have to be for the Yellow leads to drop?

As above.

I've had a bit of a hunt around but just can't seem to find a definitive answer. I understand the actual scrying part. I'm more interested in what level you have to be for these yellow leads to actually drop.

Do you have to be a minimum of level 7 for all Yellow leads or do you have to be higher than level 7 for certain Yellow leads to drop?

    No.

Many people, including me, have gotten gold leads long before they were able to scry them.

    Thanks .

So as long as you are at least level 7, you will have a chance for all yellows to drop?

The reason why I am asking this is that I went full tilt and got my achievement/crafter guy who has retired from adventuring/raids up to level seven before I realized that maybe this was a mistake, and I should of leveled my current adventuring/dungeon/raiding character first. I have since bumped her up to level 7 as well, but now I'm not sure who I should push onto level 10 first.

If all yellow drops can happen at level 7, I'll push my achievement/retired character to to level 10. If you have to be higher than level seven for certain yellow leads to drop, I'll push my current adventuring/dungeon/raiding character to 10.

Yeah, leads drop as they may regardless of antiquity level. I even heard from people who didn#t even buy greymoor getting leads all over the place (obviosuly to tempt them into shelling out for the expansion ;) )

And yeah, you need level 7 to actually use those leads... and they only remain active for 30 days or so. Not like its hard to grind scrying if you put in some time... after all, that is what the green and blue leads all over the place are for, right? ;)

    Cool..Thank-you :)

That does mean I grinded my adventuring/dungeon/raiding character to level seven for no reason. Oh well, c'est la vie.

I got a mythic part when I had just unlocked the skill lines (I was level 3, I think). I'm now level 6, because I'm not in a rush.

My Warden is finding leads in chests and she's not unlocked the skill line yet.

Not quite correct as far as I can tell from my experience. I have scyying at level 7 and can not scrye some of the golden leads I found. It seems that some of them have some kind of hidden level requirement.

Master level und Ultimate level leads are both displayed as golden. But you can only scry for master level leads with scrying at 7. You need to check what the difficulty says in the antiquities tab to be certain, what kind of golden/yellow lead you got.

To my knowledge, that's something that came out of the PTS testing. People were saying that there is a timer on them, but I haven't seen it marked as such anywhere. But then again, I'm not likely to deliberately put it to the test either. I find a lead, I go after it at the next available opportunity. Mainly so I don't forget about it. ;)

Leads expire 30 days after you obtain them. (Of course, you can always obtain them again).

From what I've seen on the forums, the timer appears when there is one week left to get the lead.

I probably should have waited to cave in and buy the expansion on PC (cheap anyway) I think I have 4 yellow leads that have dropped on various alts before buying it, now I'll probably have a hard time getting any.

Plenty of gold leads without even owning the chapter.

Treat leads like jewellery nodes. You can pick them up, but you don't need the skill line or even the expansion to do so.

You do need said expansion to use them, however.

Regarding the Leads, are they rare drops?

I have grind leveled up to 8 in Scry and Excavation and now need those higher quality leads for the last push to 10.

I have looted countless treasure chests, killed so many dungeon bosses, opened thieves troves and psijic troves and not pulled one single lead, not one

    Is it me thats bugged??

    Appreciate any comments

You can get the yellow leads even without the skill, heck, you can get them even without access to Skyrim to get the skills in the first place. Ive got a couple of yellow leads on my 2nd account which has only the vanilla game (it is a really old trial account created before any of the expansions existed).

At least on PC EU it isn't bugged. Easier drops have lower rates, as it seems. Here's a spreadsheet with drop locations

I picked open a chest in Hews Bane and got a yellow lead. I do not have Greymoor. I assume this is just ZoS trying to tempt me to buy the xpac by giving me leads I can't use.

I haven't seen anything about this, aside from one person having mentioned how that would be a good idea to have it happen. I don't think you actually do get a timer, though.
