Just to clarify, I was not having these problems before the new patch -- the only time I would get occasional frame drops was inside a main city or hub, now it happens every time I seem to meet the criteria above.

'stuttering' or 'lag' in a game like this is because of a careful balance between memory resources, caching, and primarily prediction. Game engines like this no longer wait for your axe to hit a character, they predict when it will happen before it has happened so that they can be more lively, more timely.
The down side is that everything must be predicted- including whether or not you killed a character, and if not carefully done, or if the algorithm is altered- or some other aspect is altered that may affect how quickly this algorithm runs, you wind up with stuttering or lag. The alternative is innaccuracy- someone else getting credit for your kills or scenes not drawing completely, the NPC is their, and then dead the next without seeing your weapon swing, etc.
In any mob scene you have far more things that must be predicted, more surfaces and edges to manage, more lighting effects, more possible connections and dynamics- it very quickly can become something monumental for a game engine to manage particularly at framerates people desire, considering the megabytes of data that must be slammed onto the screen x times per second.
Only thing I can recommend that might help a little-
o pick times to kill mobs when there are fewer other players on the map
o orient your viewpoint so long distances (mountans and buildings a long ways away in the background) can't be seen
Try to help the game engine by making it do less work until they get the logic fixed.
i cant argue with that Mithrazielle. its perfectly understandable. i dont know nothing about those game engines at all.
but like we just said before gameplay was fine. since new Greymoor chapter came out there are lot of ppl with these issues all over the world. we can say "be patient" ...but the other side of the coin and i dont wanna be rude at all. This is not a free-to-play game. You pay for the game and all the services include. when u get nothing even a promise.
Do u think game developers know nothing about these "little stuttering" side effects?
There is nothing to recommend i could be alone all over the map....when u get any exp. points from any source "stuttering" starts. When u have 100 FPS what is your recommend then?Tthats all. You cant do any Trials or Dungeons. i just stopped my daily gaming with ESO... still have an active ESO+ membership for nothing .
I cant wait to see whats gonna happen in the future. Take care.
