Bar swap Bug

Hey peoples of ESO.

I have made numerous tickets which had no reply so far, so was wondering if anyone could help me

Since the greymoor update Ive not been able to bar swap to my 2nd bar nor can I rez people which is very odd.

Cannot play any dungeons, trials or PvP till its sorted.

I have:

Changed my keyboard bind to no effect.
Repaired the game via launcher-no effect.
Unequiped all gear, died rez'd...still the same.
Disabled all addons, same issue with or without them
Each Maintenance since update has not fixed the issue.

Kinda pulling my hair out at this point.

@ZOS_BillE may be able to check to make sure the ticket is in the correct queue. I would suggest providing them the numbers for the first ticket.

Also, creating multiple tickets slows down the process. Pretty sure it moves the first ticket to the end of the queue just like if you replied multiple times to the same ticket even though Zos is had not replied yet.

Another note, CS replying to tickets has been slowed due to multiple effects COVID has had. Not only have they had to change their work practices but with a greater number of players in the game, they are taking care of more tickets. Expect a week or longer for Zos to reply. It is life with any large game right now.

Only thing I can think of is '`' key being different with different keyboard language settings (US and EU)...
But you said that you tried changed the key bind and it didn't work.

I'm afraid i have the solution for you. I ran into the same bug you described, that actually got worse with a "cannot swap weapons in your current state" message too.

Basically you need to cure yourself of your vampirism/werewolfitude, then reset your skillpoints via the shrine. This fixed the bug for me. And now that i think about it, the bug had originally appeared for me after i had used the shrine, this morning...

It's quite sad honestly that such a bug exists...

What if my character hasn't got vampirism/or being a werewolf?

Also for some reason the new scrying skill lines dont work for me either. Skill points do not stick in skill tree. Its really a great update

Every now and then I get that message, but I can fix it with /reloadui. Also, I don't have a disease so not a fix for me. Pretty sure it's just another bug.

SO!! people! If anyone else has this problem.

Reset all your skills, cost be 21k gold but refunded all my skill points and could swap bars again. Also sorted out a problem I has with the new skill lines!

Well... I was cured from vampirism, all was working fine, i even played cyrodiil a bit... Then went back to antiquities, excavating and scrying, and guess what: the bug happened again! I just had leveled up excavation and put some points in it, may be related. Couldn't swap bars anymore. Tried to respec only a morph, didn't work. Tried respeccing a randome skill (cost 21K): didn't work. Removed all points from scrying & excavation, logged out, logged back in: bug was fixed.

I already wasted 100k on this bug, much sadness...

Damn, i got the bug again, this time exactly after having put points in excavation & scrying... This is what causes the bug, most certainly :-(

Yeah can agree is it the new excavation & scrying skills lines or just the activity in general bugging things out, can happened again, had to go back to reset skills for the 2nd time. Hope it get's fixed soon.

Hahah, yeah it's pretty bad ^-^. I've wasted 160k gold so far testing it, resetting excavation skills fixes it, putting back the points makes it bug again. I'm using S&W on one bar and a staff on another, maybe it's a combination of several small things... Quite obnoxious :-(

Thats the standard ' hoops' game customer service plays. Instead of addressing your issue, an automated response pops out - usually has nothing to do with the actual issue on the ticket.

You have to Reply to that and the next response should at least be from a live person.

Still no response from Zos - no update on my ticket - total ignore - and I cant play my main cuz of this bug .
But editing posts they can do - but helping a sub ? nooooo

After a lot of testing ,respec and around 200k gold wasted , it seems that what causes the bar swap bug is the 2nd point in excavation's reserves
At least for me thats the cause
Made a 2nd ticket , a bug report and asking for help .....Its so great being a sub and being ignored when you ask for help

In PS4, today I just noticed I couldn’t swap weapon bar either... come to think of it, last night I did a bunch of scrying and excavating, and applying skills to those lines... sure as hell hope that isn’t what’s causing the bug, cause really gonna upset me if I spend that money and it doesn’t fix it, or I just can’t use those skill lines if I expect to have multiple weapon bars...

Customer service on this front is extremely poor. As mentioned by other users above were lucky to get a reply at the moment.

I have had this issue since the launch of Greymoor. When I wish to use my main in content which requires bar swap, I have to reset my base skills costing approximately 20k a time. Given that between trials and pledges etc it would be quite nice to experience the antiquities system. Resurrecting players is also another issue experienced when this happens.

That being said putting skill points into scrying resets those put into excavation and vice versa. These skill points are also reset when I wayshrine to a new location and I am fairly confident I have lost skill points during this process which I would like to be reviewed.

I’ll be cancelling my sub today until the issue is fixed following the joke of a response received which doesn’t take into consideration any of the above that I have explained.

As explained by the other user above I experienced the vampirism bug which was also incredibly difficult for you to diagnose and resolve less than a few months ago.

Please review my skills points, respond and fix the issue.

Im not expecting they log on to a PC and fix the issue. As community managers you would expect them to take on board this community feedback and ensure issues are fixed though. Maybe sarcasm on your part can’t tell.

Since this topic is about bar swap....

Does anyone know if it is possible to bar swap after transforming to a Blood Scion? Cause whenever I activate the ultimate, I cannot bar swap for the duration of the effect.

For information, I got so frustrated I unsubscribed and uninstalled eso. The content of Greymoor was quite awesome, I was enjoying myself much, but I have time to play with only one character. This horrible bug just makes my character unusable, or I have to decide not to do any excavations at all. Eso is a great game, but if customer support can't follow well that's a real shame. I hope this gets fixed one of these days so that I can ce back. I'm not very optimistic though : (

Just hope that it gets fixed with tomorrow's update (PC) it's been a month since launch and havent been able to do much of the new skill lines at all cas of this....

Perhaps if you put it on both bars, maybe. But probably not. I would think definitely not if you haven't.

So after today's....still the same bug in game. meaning about 21K gold down the drain to fix it and not being able to use the new skill lines.

Could someone get back to me about this. Ticket number: 200629-003390

Done a few tickets about this issue, just get auto replies. Made a post in the bug section on the fourm, some helpful people linked a ferw devs in.......nothing.

If you cannot fix it, then a refund on the greymoor chapter would be fitting, seeming I cannot use what I paid for as its faulty.

Getting this same issue, ive spent a decent amount of gold respecing over and over again trying to figure it out. It seems to occur when I spend around 390-400 skill points on only base skills and passives. If I try to spend more, I start seeing this weird bug where spending more skill points takes it out of other passives.

Don't submit new tickets, that just puts you at the end of the queue. A new ticket will always get a generic system-generated reply, you need to reply to that one (sometimes two of them) before you get in touch with an actual CS rep. @ZOS_BillE is generally the one who looks into ticket matters I believe.

I just ran into this bug as well (PS4 NA) after finally playing the new content and putting skill points into excavation and scrying. Submitted a ticket so hopefully something comes of it. I’d rather not repeatedly have to reset my skill points if this keeps on happening just to be able to bar swap. Interestingly some of my purchased skills are no longer active either. When I click on Keen Eye Dig Sites (had one point in there before, now shows empty), I get the message that “you can not refund abilities now.”
