Weapon Swap bug: "Cannot change weapon in your current state" - problem solved

I am posting this because it took me over a week to solve this issue, and during that time the game was unplayable. I am hoping that anyone else who encounters this rare bug will find this post and the solution. Before I reached out to ZOS customer services I searched the forum for a fix and found nothing (however, I found that this issue goes back years and no post ever gives a satisfactory resolution).

The problem
I had been playing ESO earlier in the day with no problems, then logged in again later that day and found that my character was unable to swap weapons. When I put my mouse over the swap button the red text "Cannot change weapon in your current state" appeared.

Particulars
This seems to occur with characters who are infected with vampirism or lycanthropy (I was a vampire, other posts on here had people being werewolves).

The solution
1. Cure Yourself
2. Reset all your Skills
3. Test your Weapon Swapping
4. Re infect Yourself
5. Test your Weapon Swapping.

It makes sense considering right before I logged out (before the bug occurred) I'd reset my morphs in order to unlock the DK ability Corrosive Armor (which is still BUGGED in PVP ZOS).

Anyways, the above worked for me, but it took a awhile to get that solution as ZOS recommended the boilerplate: unequip weapons/re-equip, log out, disable addons, delete addons, repair game, etc. However, they were responsive and helpful so no complaints there.

Hopefully this saves others some time.
