I've seen these pictures circulating and I think the Background contrast and Lighting obviously has something to do with the differences.
The advertisement on left has dim Lighting from the Right and the statue is just slightly more turned to the left on a dark gray background that accents the Brown Rustic tones while the Right customer pic is on a white background and has an above light as well as a flash coming at it so the sheen of the plastic is more reflective but that shine is still visible on the advertised photo if you look closely so It seems to me that you got what you paid for but lighting and placement plays a big part.
I'm not trying to convince you the quality is better than it is but take this as a learning experience not to let [snip] compel you to buy every shiny object that catches your eye.
And if it really bothers you that much, what's the return policy!?!

Also level of detail is different. It is obvious it is 2 different statues.
What is it that actually makes you people buy this collector's crap?
I've never bought a single CE in my life, just genuinely wondering what's so must have about it?

I missed a hilarious reaction for this one.lol, that may explain the price.
Part of what i enjoy collecting is lore and art books. part of what i have absolutely NO interest in, are coins. so.. there's that. but again, every collector has their own preferences.

unless you ever felt the urge to collect anything - you are unlikely to understand it. some of us enjoy collecting things. for me its fun to look at mementos of experiences I enjoy or enjoyed in a past. like a photo album of sorts, except instead of photos, its statues and other fun trinkets.
that said.. i didn't buy this particular CE, because even in promo it didn't seem worth it for me. part of what i enjoy collecting is lore and art books. part of what i have absolutely NO interest in, are coins. so.. there's that. but again, every collector has their own preferences.

And on top of that, their month of ESO Plus™ doesn't even seem to include the usual crowns either... Which is just, wtf?xXMeowMeowXx wrote: »It is CE, not a free give away promo.

I see, thanks for explaining that

It depends on what you like. I remember WOW used to put out great ones with artbooks and "making of" dvds. Then, they cheaped out too and gave out a coin-type thing.
