The 10% dmg increases ended up increasing dmg done by about 6%.
In PVE this is slightly stronger than Selene but you have to activate Blade Cloak which is a dps loss.
So for PVE dps I wouldnt run the BRP DW unless you struggle with survival.

From a PVE perspective I think the 10% was quite balanced, you have to find a slot on your bar and cast a relatively expensive defensive skill so there should be a dps gain. For something like 3.5% dps increase this set is not worth the effort in my opinion.

With love values it will parse less. 6% adds 4% more damage (10 was 6.7%) VMA adds 4% and also has bigger enchant.

It still would be good in 4 man content though when you don't get much out of volley.

New Master DW, needs to be tested though.

I'm surprised this survived the pts,but wth. :D

Kvatch Gladiator: This set now increases your Weapon Damage by 1475 against targets under 25% Health, rather than increasing your Weapon Damage with Light and Heavy Attacks by 1800 against targets under 25% Health.

So glad they can nerf things so people don't have a chance to have a viable alternative to bow backbar, but can't fix the sets that people have been concerned about since first week of patch (RO, maelstrom inferno and bow, etc, etc, etc).

Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

mhh as I can agree on your pvp part, it's still a pretty big letdown from a PvE perspective.
Keeping the 10% and adding conditions like the slayer buff (only works against trial, dungeons monsters) would have been the best solution.
This way the rewards of one of the most difficult PvE content would feel... like a reward ?

I understand, it's annoying to see an interesting pve change get watered down before release, but if it had released as +10%/+10% it would have run riot in PvP in a few months as people picked up on it. At least this way, the new version of +6%/+6% is a bit more viable on a DPS than the old major protection. It's a victim of the combined PvP/PvE balancing :(

Don't forget they nerfed healing in PvP this patch as well. So that means it's going be harder to stay alive all around.
10% are about as much damage as the vMA bow does in a parse, but you only get these 10% if you are actually within melee range!
This set would not have been broken, it would only have opened up build diversity (which ZOS hates, since they also nerfed the pAS destro when it wasn't overperforming on the two classes it was viable on).

Yes, some classes play in melee range with all melee abilities. That is not hard to do haha. People made this ridiculous argument on the pts too.

    @cheemers It's not ridiculous.
During a siege for example you cannot get up the walls to damage an enemy player with your blade cloak, so no increased damage and no damage reduction beyond the evasion. It's also useless when running from ranged enemies because running away means going out of melee range.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.
