    Greetings,

We have recently removed some unnecessary back and forth from this thread. Please remember that while it’s alright to disagree or even debate with each other, provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable on our forums.

So does ZOS know there's problems? Can you confirm?

No point quoting the ZOS bots.

They must know that another published game will be a failure. If eso dont work, then no one will.

It's not so much the crashing I object to, it's the fact that when you try to log back on, you invariably get a(nother) Crash Report window.

Presumably this window is for the immediately preceeding crash, but it then shuts the game down again.

This, generally, happens repeatedly (normally, three times, for some reason); even if you close the launcher (sometimes have to do that via Task Manager) and wait for a few mins before trying again.

I'm sure that the forum moderators, who are generally restricted to the news/information passed down from the community reps/admins, will totally be informed, up-to-date, and allowed to reply on a topic the devs haven't given out more information on yet. Yep. Form moderators are totally the regular people who make formal official announcements.

Yes, that was sarcasm. Why harass the mods? Community reps, devs, yes. Forum mods? Not much point, really.

Asking for an update isn't harassment.

True, asking for an update isn't harassment.
But the forum mods take a lot more heat for things, like a lack of info dissemination, that they have no control over and no authorization to comment on.

Don't harass the forum mods, their only job here is to keep a modicum of order and civility, and some people here don't make that distinction.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

The combat desync sounds like it might be addressed in Q3. They're waiting 6+ months to roll out fixes to a core system of the game that's broken.

So they should code up a fix and simple release it to live instantly without testing? Potentially (likely) crash the entire game by releasing a fix that is not tested? And when that occurs you won't come on the forums and lose it on them about how they crashed the ESO servers and they should have tested it and blah blah blah...

Seriously, of course they are going to test it, of course they are going to tweak it, check how the adjustments work, retweak, retest, ect... until they are finally pretty certain it is going to work.

All of you people whining already admit that they already tried a fix, and it did not work. Do you think that maybe that is why they are trying to spend some time really figuring the issues out and testing things before releasing a fix? Maybe? Do ya think?

They know there are issues, they are working on them, they have a timeline for testing and possible release of the fix. What is the point of whining? What do you actually think you are actually accomplishing with it? Are you trying to get them to release a half baked untested not ready for release fix to the live servers that can cause more issues than we currently have? What is your actual goal here? What do you want them to do that they are not already doing? They admitted completely in that link you posted that there ARE issues and they ARE working on fixing them. What else do you want?

    Point taken.

I want them to prioritize fixing the game and communicate what they're actually doing this time. You can't seriously be denying their communication is lacking.

There have been attempts to communicate in the past. It has never gone well.

"We are trying to do X" gets responses like "WHY? That won't fix the issue. EVERYONE knows the real fix would be Y"

"The next update will try D, E, and F" "Why do we have to WAIT? This is ridiculous, Fix you POS game, ZOS!!!!!!"

Along with variations on how stupid the devs are, how game that isn't ESO is perfect and everything should be changed to be just like that other game, and so on. Or people demand reasons for why something was changed/not changed, and no matter what the devs say, no reasoning will be accepted, it will be read into, between the llines, and between the pixels, and things the devs *never* said will be repeated, quoted, taken out of context, and then the OMG THE DEVS LIED threads will start again.

ZOS had the opportunity when we had to redownload game to attempt a client with better client--server interaction, better parallelism, better memory management, etc.

And they blew it. There is no going around that one, they blew it. But to be honest, aside from crashing the game was not running too bad until they "fixed" the crashing. Then the performance turned to possibly the worst performance I have seen in any recent game in my life.

Combat in the game does not even work 1/2 the time, wait, it doesn't work 9/10 of the time because that's how many times you sometimes have to attempt to cast a ground target skill in PvP and PvE.

Do not get me started on trials, vMA, vDSA, etc. -- just no. And the ultimate slap in the face is that they expect players to go back to those laggy and buggy places to refarm gear that initially had a bonus that they nerfed and put back. Except this time, you will be farming it with extreme lag, desync, and "balance" changes that favor the few and not the many (but the opposite in PvP when you won't be doing anything to a zerg when they have total damage immunity because the lag prevents any damage from even ticking on them).

Next patch is slated to be the WORST ESO patch IMO, esp. if performance remains unchanged. It will be garbage for balance in PvE and PvP.

PvP balance...man ain't no balance coming with what's on PTS, in fact the tank problem will be WORSE. That's right, when people realize how to get around the nerfs, the tank problem will be worse because there's now gear and mythic crap to give these same builds more damage!

You can't make it up...but you can experience it very soon...
