This skill is now on the GCD. It completely killed magcro and feels awful on stamcro. Hopefully doesnt go live.

eovogtb16_ESO✭✭✭✭✭Also blastbones is still broken and doesnt work often and you have to swap bars multiple times to get it working. Been an issue for about 6 months now and still an issue in PTS1

Good luck getting them to change this, everyone has voiced their opinion they don’t want this and it’s been ignored every time. Necros will still be required to be in group but now they’re even less fun to play.4

So if it really is a big issue, where is it happening? Or how often? I too have had BB not fire and really wish they would just make the skill fire like shalks but hey...wish in one hand....

✭✭✭are you talking pvp here? Because the ESO Logs are filled with Magcros and it appears that they are all doing pretty damn well damage wise. So if it really is a big issue, where is it happening? Or how often? I too have had BB not fire and really wish they would just make the skill fire like shalks but hey...wish in one hand....
We are talking about the PTS... Which I have been duelling on with all my characters... It is far worse at the moment. They need to keep it off the GCD until it fires reliably IMO.0 -

The heal from braided tether is one of the top three "Stamcro is OP" complaints. That is why they got added back to the GCD. It is a stamcro nerf. The damage siphon skill is just collateral damage from that.3 -

Dont be daft. People put up with magrco because of the Major vuln uptime not because they enjoy the clunky and Buggy mess that is the necromancer class.Politeness is respecting others.

From a PvP perspective, other than the Graverobber +3x Harmony Jewelry gimmick, it's quite bad. And even that is far easier to counter than most other sources of burst damage. In fact, you can even get countered by your own teammates in BGs, by having friendly player synergies (including stuff like Liquid Lightning, which is useless in PvP) override your own and ruin your burst window. Plus people can get knocked out of the area of effect of that + your ultimate by teammates using Flame Clench, Magicka Templar Javelin, etc...
The class is clunky, finnicky (though not as finnicky as it was a year ago, at least), and just not very good overall. That said, the Siphons are worthless on Magicka Necromancers in PvP, so I guess this doesn't really change much there. Except for a missed opportunity to make them not-terrible, of course.0 -

Be that as it may, that is what is preventing 8 of the same class as dds.
In one of my raidgroups we all "enjoyed" magcro so much that we gambled on who had to Play one because no one wanted to, so much towards magcros being played because of how enjoyable they are.Politeness is respecting others.

Yeah but Tether =/= Siphon and OP is still talking about PvE. No one is saying that StamCro is ruined in PvP because of Tether going back on the GCD. He's clearly talking about PvE MagCro and Siphon.

Well, if every class was doing the same dps, then buffs would be what makes the difference, and major vuln is such a good buff that makes people willing to bring necro in a group, even if they don't do the best damage. It's clunky, I wasn't talking about dps. Playing necro is full on [snip] torture, because fluidity and necro aren't even in the same Universe. Like this class design is actually garbage. Not to mention that once Major Vulnerability is removed, magicka necro will have the lowest dps. Well, maybe 2nd from worst, as long as magicka warden is a thing.

Yeah, the impact to siphon in pvp is horrible and I understand and agree with the original post. I'm not mixing anything, just saying why I think it was changed. Both skills went back on GCD because of the nerf stamcro pvp threads.
Because of how poorly it functions, and the overall mechanics of the skill, I think it needs one of the following:- keep it as is with a 100% increase in damage
- 10m range on either side of the beam
- Change to a beam from the target to the caster
- Just be turned into a normal DOT

✭Yeah there has been more than a few threads made about this but the devs are silent. I'm really frustrated since I main a magcro in pve and no matter how "good" they make the targeting, there will still be line of sight issues that will prevent it from going off. I will still slot the ability, but I guarantee that it will rarely be used due to how unreliable it is.
If the change that you make leads to most players no longer using the ability regularly, it's a bad change.Gryphon Heart
