North America is fully operational and our European datacenter will be soon, but we have found during our beta tests that the location of these servers is not going to affect the gameplay experience. Our testing has now confirmed that millions of players from Europe (and beyond) can play on our North American server and experience ESO as it was designed—without latency or lag problems.
nah the actual launch and lag have been great. some of the later bugs - not so much.
First MMO I was able to log right into and play on day one - they delivered. I'm not forgiving them for all the other issues not by a long shot but this thread is silly.

You must not play at the same times I do. Lag was here the first day of pre-launch. Gated quests and duping bugs were in from day 1. That is not a "polished" launch experience.

Well, as we all know, Australia is populated entirely by criminals, so... yup.Ker.Rakb16_ESO wrote: »And furthermore:North America is fully operational and our European datacenter will be soon, but we have found during our beta tests that the location of these servers is not going to affect the gameplay experience. Strange how some Australian players claim to have latency issues when ZO have completely eliminated lag from their system. Somebody is lying here... my bet is on the Australians.

I do wonder, all the players reporting no lag issues, you wouldn't happen to live in the US or Canada, right?
