Inner Light Breaks Stealth

A long time ago, I think around 2018, there was an undocument change to mage light (inner light) so that activating the skill broke stealth and invisibility. I was wondering if the devs could look at this again for this update and revert it back to the way it was.

Also, please take a look at your change to the stun on Concealed Weapon. Magicka NB's. The play is completely different on magicka than stamina. The change is a major nerf to the basic magicka nb combo from invis.

    Its still a ball of magelight though and your character's eyes glow. In fact in the description of the ability itself it reads, "Summon a mote of magelight, revealing stealthed and invisible enemies around you for 5 seconds. Exposed enemies cannot return to stealth or invisibility for 3 seconds."

    This is not a stealthy skill.

    The change was made due to pre-combo Empower activation. If they made Inner Light to not break stealth, knowing ZoS they would most probably make it not work with Might of the Guild as well.

    Yeah, I remember that. But if you can use spell symmetry to get might of the guild without breaking stealth why not mage light? Yes, i know about the "light" part but it's "Magic" light.

    Yeah, I remember that. But if you can use spell symmetry to get might of the guild without breaking stealth why not mage light? Yes, i know about the "light" part but it's "Magic" light.

    It is still a light in the same way holding a torch it a light. It should break stealth because anything else wouldn’t make any sense.

    I do not like this fact either. Zenimax says that self buffs are allowed in stealth, but not abilities that affect others.
    But then there are middle way abilities. Inner Light, Boundless Storm and Conjured Ward. They reveal you, because boundless storm can damage enemies and conjured ward does not count as a self buff because it can also affect pets.

    I would like if these abilities could be used from stealth. Acceleration I can use from stealth. It could be argued that the build up of spell orbs and maybe even minor force could be considered as harmful to enemies. (shooting them does reveal you, but the build up in itself technically leads to harm) So I do not see why for example boundless storm does not work the same way.

    Should they make pets untargetable and thus, remove the need for them to be protected, I hope they have the foresight to also make conjured ward a proper self buff. Why does this reveal me if I have no pets active anyway?

    And please... empower from magelight is not a strong buff. It is not nearly actually 40% and even if, light attacks are very weak in pvp anyway. So what is the harm? This would not break pvp. It would rather add something to it.

    Abilities that have the potential to directly affect others break stealth when cast - and those abilities fit into that category, so it makes sense for them to break stealth.

    With your argumentation there are a lot of skills that should not break stealth even tho they currently do (eg. vigor or proxy, and snipe does not when it should do ...) and i really think, stealth is not a thing that should get any buffs whatsoever.

    Players should be encouraged to fight, not sneak arround and hide.
