Alliance Change Token Good or Bad?

In my Opinion, it should be checked individually if anyone can switch the Alliance and so that it is not possible permanently. But The Alliance Change Token will open the pandora´s box and the Lock Campaign will be more senseless than before. In Addition to that, it makes the Alliance Change easier.

I love the Alliance Change Token

My main is one faction.
All my friends play another faction.
Yes, I do have two other characters on this other faction to pvp with my friends. However, I'd like to pvp on my main with my friends (achievements, rank, etc).
Sometimes "just make an alt to play with your friends" does not address the actual issue for some people.

Can't wait for alliance change, very happy it's a possibility soon.

Alliance Tokens reset your Alliance Rank so i dont think many people will you use it a lot.

This is a very decent solution

EDIT: There is a different statement in the german version which i did get my info about the rank reset which is not included in the english one:

Diese Wertmarke erlaubt es Euch, die Allianz eines Charakters zu verändern. Wertmarken können nur von der Charakterauswahl aus benutzt werden. Bitte beachtet: Wenn ihr die Wertmarke nutzt, werdet ihr in der Hauptstadt eurer neuen Allianz ins Spiel eingeloggt. Manche laufenden Quests werden zurückgesetzt oder ersetzt. Eure Heimatkampagne und der zugehörige Rang im Allianzkrieg werden zurückgesetzt. Eine neue Heimatkampagne könnt ihr 12 Stunden später wählen.

Don't know if this is just a misunderstanding or miscommunication but this says nothing about the alliance rank, that's if you're talking about rank.

Something else:

Until I see the price I can’t say. It needs to be expensive enough to discourage flip flopping but not so expensive that the people who actually need it* can’t get it.

*for example I played this game for years before doing any Cyrodiil content and was invited by a DC loyalist guild. I already spent hundreds on my characters, I’m not going to delete them and recreate them. There is one character that I will definitely change. Just 1. Because I don’t play “toons” each character faction was a deliberate choice except this one. None of my other characters would ever fight for another alliance.

No one should be able to switch the Alliance

I just wish this was out how long ago since I already have alts on other alliances leveled up. I guess this allows me to delete some extras to make room for other classes and allow me to level up a crafter instead of using my old main as a crafter. I can bring my magsorc over from a different alliance and make him into a stamsorc too.

I just want to know if people who don't have any race and any alliance will be forced to choose a new race based on the alliance they are switching too. I kind of doubt it, but still would be interesting if they were forced to change.

AFAIK, token requires Any Race Any Alliance upgrade

AFAIK, token requires Any Race Any Alliance upgrade

Not a big deal. People aren't going to be swapping willy nilly like the conspiracy theories seem to suggest. And alliance loyalty was never nailed down well in this game from the start, so that ship has sailed. It's fine to let people swap around to play with friends.

Locking people into different alliances, it obviously doesn't work.

Changing alliances allows people to play with friends, but also it allows people to join an alliance that mostly wins, which negatively affects the entire PvP scene.

Separating friends, people in this way is just simply put, a very bad design.

the only thing it effects is pvp really, other then that it does not matter, and it barely effects pvp to those that actively pvp anyway, don't really see the point of the token, let alone complaining about it.

Ok, honest question from a non PvP player:
Can someone explain the fuss about alliances and switching and everything?
From my (obviously limited) point of view, every player is able to roll chars in all three realms and play whatever side he/she chose to. There are even different campaigns to chose from, unlike other games, where the PvP zone is ONE zone for the entire server. I understand that there are some guilds that expect a certain loyality and dedication to the realm they play for, but isn't that the exception rather than the norm?

This indeed is a very decent solution. Something that will not be taken lightly or on a whim. It will certainly kill the faction hopper dream to bunny hop from one faction to another. I am extremely happy with this change. I can't wait to move my 4 earlier characters to my chosen faction.

The thing is we don't know what they are going to cost, another is will they be worth using and I would say no unless your mainly a if your a pvper but want to switch up factions sure this is good for that. At the same time, its likely not going to be worth the money given the outrageous costs for name change, appearance change and race change tokens. I'm sure at least it will likely be 2500 crowns or more.

Individual check means (in my thoughts) that somebody write a ticket with the request that he want change the faction with Reasons. When he want change the faction because all of his Guild are in another Faction, then it can be checked. That should be for free and only once a year.

You are right. I did read the german Version first and there it states: Manche laufenden Quests werden zurückgesetzt oder ersetzt. Eure Heimatkampagne und der zugehörige Rang im Allianzkrieg werden zurückgesetzt. Eine neue Heimatkampagne könnt ihr 12 Stunden später wählen. - which means translated: your home campaign and your rank in alliance war will be reseted. In the english version it only said leaderboard. Its confusing now for me. I did not doublecheck the english post because i thought it had the same content.

Which basically means if you switch for example a Overlord character it will be rank 0 again

I have been asking for this for years, since most of my original faction mates stopped playing, and new faction mates wore a different colour. Yeah, I’ve built new characters and all that.......but I want my main where I mainly play.

If you don’t like it, you can suck the end of my Gloomspore staff, and I can’t tell you where that’s been, ok?

it doesnt though. You can test it on the PTS.

Alliance change token is good for the game for additional revenue. What I would like to see is class change token. If that can be added to the game as that would be more revenue for the game and another good service available to players.

As someone that prefers to play one character but like to play around with various classes I really hope the devs add a class change token in the future.

I voted "Something else" because I don't really see a problem with the Alliance Change token, so long as it is incredibly expensive to use. It will allow me to correct one of my mistakes, which was that earlyish on, I made a yellow Bosmer Nightblade to play through the storyline on AD, not realizing that I would have the chance to do so by playing through Cadwell's silver. I would prefer to complete all the storylines on my main character, so there is really no need for me to have that character - and yet, he has a fully researched backpack and mount, so deleting him would be a waste of 300K gold.

Flipping his alliance would make it a lot easier to unlock the PVP passives and earn some extra points, since most of my friends play Blue.

How does it make the locked campaign senseless? You think someone is going to be switching alliance ls daily? Your alliance skills and ranks are tied to your alliance do youd lost those for switching
