alliance change tokens -> reset quests = endless skillpoint generation?

From PTS patch notes 6.0.1.

" Alliance Change Token

These tokens are used from the character select screen to change the alliance of a single character to either of the other alliances. Upon using the token, you will be logged into the game at the capital city of your new alliance.
Some quests will have their progress reset or removed and replaced entirely with the appropriate quest for that alliance."

Does that mean changing alliance will reset progress in quests and enable players to do them again -> most likely beeing rewarded with skillpoints ... again. (Main story quests of each territory reward skillpoints upon completion)

OR

Does that mean changing alliance will reset progress in quests and susequently loss in skillpoints ...

Anyone knows? ;)

    This is a good point.
    @ZOS_BrianWheeler

Though I presume ZOS thought about it and removed the ability to regain more skill points in this manner.
Some videos I recorded for fun: Main character:
PC EU main: Universe - AD magicka Sorcerer, Former Emperor, Grand Overlord, The Merciless, Trial Bosses Solo Champion
Top alts: Genius(stamina/sagicka Dragonknight) The Force(stamina Nightblade) and other chars.
PC NA main: The Magic - AD magicka Sorcerer
Started playing ESO in beta & early access

Oh dear, I really hope this was foreseen and addressed.

You can try it yourself by logging into PTS, @Elsterchen.

Start a zone questline and then use an Alliance change token. They’re only one (1) Crown on PTS.

Huh? It says progress removed, so I assume they only mean active quests, not ones you have already completed. That's how I read it anyway.

Thanks, but PC EU ... :)

I was told it only affects the order of cadwells silver and gold quests, tho.
So, the wording in the patch notes may be a little missleading, but I will have a look at that myself once EU chars are loaded to PTS.

You can do it on a template character if you want to try this weekend, @Elsterchen ... there’s absolutely no rule that you have to wait for character copies to log in to PTS.

You are right... technically I could do that, BUT time is key and I know how long it takes to go through all the base-game quests. ;)

So, I rather wait and test next weekend ... if I get time to do so ... the PTS upload doesn't mess-up (again: character uploads seem buggy since ever -> i always need to repair at minimum 3 times before it works somehow). Or wait for some kind person to try it and share their experience right here.

It does not work. Your quest only gives you skill point once and that's it. you can not reset and get that same skill point again. It will reset and make you do the quests again but no skill point at the end.

All they really needed to do was isolate the alliance change for PvP and not touch anything else. The more they touch the more they're likely to mess up.

It does sound like the quest needs to be in your quest log to begin with however. And since everyone regardless of alliance can complete other alliance quests, it is unlikely that you can farm skill points -- and it is also equally unnecessary to touch PvE quests.
