Is ZOS aware of the state of their game currently?

To me the game is too tedious with these long loading screens - instead of 2 or 2.5 hours to do my crafting writs with 14 characters it takes me now between 5-7 hours - which means I am waiting to be zoned in as long as i am actually playing. I don't have time to waste 2-5 hours on waiting on loading screens and putting up with failing teleports and having to login quite often again this is crap and it could be fixed, because it was fine 2.5 weeks ago. ZOS just doesn't care enough. well, if this continues I will have a break of about a year - not playing ESO to not have to see this mess all the time - and just get back to it in a year to see if it has changed to the better.

The more time you spend in the loading screen, the longer it takes you to complete routine tasks. The longer it takes you to complete those tasks, the more time you spend playing the game (and possibly sub'd). Now multiply that by thousands of users. More opportunity for crown store hits and subscription revenue. Take a look at what the client side threads are doing when the "loading" is happening.

Well, I'm a subscriber - but if this isn't changing i will just let my ESO+ laps and be gone for a year - -I'm not addicted and my steam library is full of other interesting games - including Skyrim, which is with the requiem mod a new experience to me.

You don't actually have to be a satisfied customer as a fact, just a regular log-in statistic they can point to.
That way they can point to a huge list of 'active players'. Actively playing is a different matter when it comes to statistics.
The sub is a bonus to them.

This statement wasn't meant as a threat nor do I expect that it has any effect on ZOS at all. it is just what I will be doing if I don't have fun to play the game anymore, because I'm longer waiting on loading screens than actually playing. In this case it is a waste of time to play ESO and I better put that into other games and come back a year later and see what has changed.

Yes, you can only do what's best for you. I've said for a while now that I don't think that pc eu will likely improve much, and those who are unhappy will have a decision to make: leave, accept the weaknesses, or move to the na server.

I chose the 3rd option, and am much happier with the game; anyone looking to swap is welcome to join our guild.

I hope that whatever decision you make will bring you happier results.

I think ZOS is fully aware of the state of their game and exactly where the points of profitability exist. We can pine all we want, but in the end, we're just along for the ride.

I've stopped playing during prime time which was the only way to fix the lag.

There are a couple of vague statements about addressing the desyncs and lag in the recent update posts on the news page, but beyond that, it's hard to know if they really understand the extent of the problem or how profoundly it affects our experience in the game.

Because we keep playing and their numbers are higher than ever, it's probably telegraphing that the issues are acceptable to enough people that no matter what ZOS does it's unlikely to affect their bottom line.

Spoken like someone with real life experience. Could not agree more. It's totally inexcusable yet common practice in business.

Well if everyone would stop buying god damn crown crates so they only made their money by developing playable content things would be better off.

Fully agree, but then I never bought clowns or clown crates. And I've dropped my sub, which I've had got as long as I've been playing. If Greymoor keeps things the same I guess I'm skipping it and possibly dropping ESO (again).

That it's awesome?!?! I hope they realize this because it is.

But I realize YMMV. My friends and I are having a ball in ESO right now.

Installed ESO to a laptop for reasons.. did expect bad performance and lagfest since it has WLAN connection to the router (got Optic Fiber connection from router though) so not even direct cable and to my BIG surprise: 100fps and latency between 60-90 at Cyrodiil, same on all big cities at PVE land, even at primetime.

I was amazed. Still am everytime i login to the game and it stays that way and was not just some dream. Cyrodiil looks great with ALL graphic settings on high, even big battles on Emp keeps are smooth. No idea what kind of sorcery is on this laptop since specs are not even the most high.

    9th Gen Core i5
    16gb RAM
    Geforce GTX 1050
SSD drive where ESO is installed on.
    Windows 10 (freshly installed)

Not even that awesome specs, so really.. no idea what happened. Can even use ON all of the Bloom, Distortions, Water Reflections and whatnot settings and game runs smooth with that 100fps with high View Distance also. And looks damn GREAT. Almost like a different game when it now works. InB4 "pics or did not happen".. If not feeling lazy can take screenshots later.

And then neighbour dog barked and you awaked still in the middle of a loading screen or a you dont have a valid connection? XD
No, seriously, i trust you, happens to me too... Once a month It works everything great.
Zos should be aware that we are many the people not going to spend a single dólar in this game until they dont make the game playable again. We payed for PvP, not for PvLag. But well, now is the typical moment for make cash... Put new OP sets on the new DLC, and nerf them later. That is important for zos... Not lag

Been like that now for 3 days since i installed it and been playing like 10+ hours everyday day (yeah i play a lot haha).

But my message was not meant to say game has no issues, i know it has, it has problems on my other PC that has good specs.. just that with some weird luck or something this setup on a laptop with WLAN connection can pull such a good performance was something i wanted to share. Who knows maybe someone else has similar experiences on some setup and they wanna share it too?

Then maybe it can possibly help someone test if same kind of setup would help increasing their game performance also. So like was just trying to share what works for me. 100fps and anything under 90 latency feels good and i hope others share their specs if they got same kind of performance, to help others, to give ideas for next time they update their gaming rig. :)

Cannot promise or guarantee same stuff works for everyone due to so many variables, but always can share info, people can then decide if wanna try something or not.

Strange to say, but it is a fact that sometimes games run smoother on higher settings than they do on lower ones. The SSD will make a difference too. People are also too quick to install the latest drivers as older ones can also be better especially if they were being used when the game was developed/optimised.

The last few days, even normal dungeons have been laggy for me.

PS: Removing Cyrodiil from the game will instantly fix all the "lag in Cyrodiil" threads! /evilsmile
