[Midyear Mayhem] Cyrodiil AND IC now but no dungeon option?

Your Event Tickets for this event are split into two groups of two each; the first pair comes from completing your first Cyrodiil or Battleground daily each day, and the second pair comes from completing your first Imperial City District daily quest each day.
Note that some of the Cyrodiil bounty quests, such as kill player/class quests, can also be found in Imperial City; those operate off of the Cyrodiil/Battleground ticket group. This means you can earn a total of four Event Tickets each day.

So now ZOS, you want people uninterested in the IC to go to the IC (on top of trying to get people to Cyrodiil -- just do everyone can abandon both Cyrodiil and the IC again afterwards, as usual). Even off-event the IC is comparatively dead compared to Cyrodiil, and that's with people reporting all sorts of issues trying to play in Cyrodiil.

Just to mitigate performance issues can we have a dungeon-run-for-tickets option?

    Its Midyear Mayhem, that festival where we celebrate all aspects of PVP: Cyrodiil, Imperial City, and Battlegrounds.

    Did you get it mixed up with the Imperial City event, which includes the IC dungeons?

    Very good point.

    MYM has always been about PvP. If you want your tickets during this event you will risk dealing with PvP and that is who it should always be with MYM.

    Word. People have discovered how much they enjoy PVP during past events, and that’s why they have different events for different game modes. Diverse gameplay is good gameplay.

    We all suffer through events we don’t like if we want the tickets (or skip the tickets altogether, or I suppose buy them...). Me, I loathe the Dark Brotherhood/Thieves Guild event, but I’m not going to ask for another way to get tickets that defeats the purpose of the event itself. I’m just going to grumble through the heist/sacrament and then go about my business.

    If I recall, WGT and ICP did come with the Imperial City dlc; if there's an extra emphasis on IC, they could reasonably be included.

    ...Not that it matters much. PUGs can't typically survive them anyway; it'd be easier to just do a quest and leave.

    This will be the most cancerous event in eso so far... :#

    It is one thing to do a scout mission in cyro to get event tickets.... But in IC ? That place will be so crowded with people that you won't be even able to sneak from point A to B. And RNG missions... omg... why ZOS ?
    Also the current pandemic makes every one stay at home, in front of their PCs/Consoles - so almost no option to try to do it early when there is less people in IC.

    In those events you could solo FG1 on normal, so you technically did not even needed other people to get event tickets. And in PvE no one is affecting my gameplay experience. Not to mention, mobs do not steal currency.
    In PvP ? Getting ganked by pre-mades while on the way from point A to B, trying to do a quest is not pleasant.

    So, yeah, I think they should also include IC dungeons. I even think that would work better for both PvP & PvE as there will be less people trying to queue into IC. Also, less people means less lag... but Idk, IC might crash or something... :*

    Then why do Cyrodiil town dailies - which are not PvP activities - counted for anything? If they were going to change this event to actually focus on PvP they need to remove Cyrodiil town dailies from counting for squat in addition to axing Imperial City dungeon runs.

    A PvP dungeon would be a blast. Imagine getting to last boss and getting ganked on the last 10%. Or even better, FFA mode on after boss is done but only one can loot LOL

    Cool, glad to hear it's happening again. Hopefully the Legion Zero style will drop again. Also ironically, Cyrodiil performance was actually great in the last MYM event, if you weren't silly enough to queue for primetime in the most popular campaign. Pity it tanked after the event again and has been limping badly ever since, despite tge "fabled" performance update.

    IC severs "public dungeon" with boss in the center. As far as I can tell this boss counted towards Undaunted event & it also dropped plunder skulls in other event - The Witches Festival (Halloween).

    MYM is the ONLY PvP Event, and still PvElers want to take it from us how many do you have 20? Shut up and play PvP if you want to take part, we have no choice to not do PvE as well.

    Because they are in a PVP zone and you risk PVP engagements by doing them. Which is the point of a PVP event. Dungeons are not PVP zones.

    And they aren't axing dungeons runs from this. They were never included. Midyear Mayhem is a PVP zone event. You may be confusing with this Imperial City event, which was a celebration of that DLC, which included the dungeons as well as the PVP zone.

    When is the actual event?
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive.     hang on. correct me if i'm wrong, but... are they saying that to get max amount of available tickets... you have to do enough of the IC story to UNLOCK THE DAILIES? and then do those DAILIES? not kill a boss in ic like in previous event. oh no. FINISH IC story before you can even begin getting tickets from it. that story is a pain to do even when event is not running.

    I honestly have no problem with battleground or Cyrodil daily requirement, cause you can just jump into those immediately and they are relatively quick quests. as annoying as boss hunts in IC could get, especially when ticket drops would bug, it still wasn't so bad. but... this... is a bit much IMO.

    apples and oranges. pvers dont need to have to worry about ganking. pvpers dont even need to change up their gear for pve. what we really need is a pvp flagging system. dont wanna pvp, flag as no pvp.

    Yes. Go back to PvDoor and AP Boosting in unlocked campaigns for your "PvP". People barely PvP for real and what's there isn't at all competitive. All this will be magnified when (if?) they double AP as usual so boosting exploiters will get double their millions in unlocked campaigns. That's not enough of a win for PvP-ers?

    They will be unlocked to not require the IC main quest, when the Greymoor Update goes live.

    The thing is that you won't be able to PvP at all if they force literately "ALL" ESO players, to queue into IC. Imagine all those additional people trying to get 2 event tickets. If They don't add additional IC campaigns it will be RIP for both "sides" - PvP & PvE players. Also, most likely server will crash at some point. That is 100% guaranteed with current game performance & increased population in IC during event. And this is something that I am sure we all want to avoid.

    Much better way would be if they included IC dungeons as an alternative way to get event tickets. So PvP players could farm IC with double drops & boosted AP & Tel Var, while the majority of the server traffic would go into IC dungeons.
