The results are clear, even with extra spell damage, the 3 cast mechanic makes the staff fall behind. Roughly the same stats and simple use of skills. Having into account more complex rotations, cleave damage and damage modificators/bonuses the gap will keep getting wider and wider

    While I did not dissect the rotations I think it points out what we expected. I would say that a "raid" rotation needs to be compared as current builds from live would need to fit this change to give full feedback.

    In reality, Zos has demonstrated over the years a lack of being able to provide critical thought in how to balance the game. As a result, they took this overly simplistic route of standardization in hopes of being able to finally be able to manage combat in this game. This change is taking that standardization a step too far and it makes zero sense.

    The appropriate measure here would be to return the casts back to 2. Fix the bug, of course, but leaving the staff at 2 gives it relevancy without being overpowered. It also allows for more build diversity and fun, while allowing DK to have options and not just be stuck within 5 meters of a boss (molten whip). Unless they plan on making a morph of stone fist actually usable... Force pulse is NOT usable without the 2 cast staff, it cannot be sustained well enough, and does very lackluster damage. Please consider this.

    Agreed. Please revert back to 2 casts to proc. The fix to status procs and the reduced time window to 5 seconds are enough.

    No viability at 3 casts. Just a decon item. It's quite possibly the only good item or reason to run vAS+2. With these changes it just becomes dead content.

    500 dps difference in burning, whats the point in this? Since when Asylum has been bis to other than DK:s? Also, hardly valid comparison with Precursor.
