    I'm generally dispositioned to oppose nerfs, and I think they could fix the issue without nerfs by creating sets or buffing specific skills to counter many of these issues. Make Snipe an ultimate and buff its damage and make it completely ignore resistances so that sniping heavy armored targets becomes a viable way to take them down. There's sets with healing auras, so why not make sets with massive auras to degrade healing effectiveness, if that is an issue that needs to be addressed.

    To me, nerfing just feels like the "easy" or "lazy" way out and it always has unintended consequences in a game where the two modes are not completely and totally separated.

    I will be one of those abusing the most broken builds.

    And no, those stats arent near the most broken stats i have ever seen.
    Funny that those stats look similar to some stam build stats that are possible since a few years.

    and no, mag builds wont be the most broken things if this patch goes live.
    I only tested 2 things on pts. and both of them top this vamp build by miles.

    i think it funny tough thot nobody posts about the obvious broken things anywhere on the forums. seems like theres quite a few people that wont share their testing^^

    And even if vamp is broken, that doesnt mean tanks didnt get a buff. who says tanks cant use vamp skills, and do massive damage while remaining hard to kill? Its been this way for stam tanks for a long time.

    Please, for the love of god know the difference between a tank build and a balanced pvp build. A tank focuses on mitigating damage without dealing damage while balances builds focus on both mitigating and dealing damage. Tanks got nerfed because their healing got reduced by 20% and some sets got nerfed. The buffs to damage sets and skills is only negative to them because they are only playing against them, not using them.

    A balanced build will be able to deal more damage, but that doesnt mean it got buffed. There is no point in having alot of damage if you die from 3 hits or cant heal up. Multiple players will notice the 20% nerf less than the solo player because of cross healing and the difference in constant damage from the opposing sides. Multiple players mostly take burst from solo players, while the solo player take constant damage from all the different players. This means the solo player have to constantly heal the entire time while taking damage and the other players have more time to heal up after a failed burst.

    All in all, damage buffed, healing nerfed. Tanks nerfed, solo play nerfed, small scale nerfed a bit, zergs will barely feel the difference. Conclusion: zos sucks at fixing issues in pvp.

    I was tired of seeing every build like: " And for the monster set...Bloodspawn...." Next Build "So we're running Bloodspawn here.." Then the next build " You could run Troll King here...but today we're running Bloodspawn....

    It's going to be nice rarely seeing bloodspawn on builds.

    No, I think as usual they are over-nerfing some things without a care for whether they make it useless.

    I do think that the changes to offensive sets to take away some health bonuses are probably a good move, it's the tanky/offensive builds in pvp that are the real problem.

    But I did think the 1pc armor bonuses on the sets that are defensive, like Chudan, Lord Warden, etc. was over-done. Dropping them down to what they did will make them not even useful to run as a one-piece and if you are going to dedicated both pieces to either running an entire defensive set or two one pieces, then it should be worthwhile. I have a build now where I often start out using a couple one pieces in pvp on live and end up swapping to an offensive set after a bit b/c you just notice the damage difference.

    Maybe they should lower them some, but cutting them in half was over-doing it. Should do 75% of what it is on live on those 1pc's IMO.

    There were both buffs for pure tanks and balanced builds
    I didnt even refere to oure tanks in the first place. But they got a buff aswell xd

    I'm not happy about it either, I believe a couple thing are happening here. For one, ZOS is responding to the unrelenting cries of those who've been complaining about the unbeatable tanking going on in PvP land, you read something about it almost everyday in the forums. Second, we have Mythic items getting ready to drop and many of us will be trading out some of our monster gear for those Mythic pieces and (the most important part) ZOS want people playing those new pieces....and in order play those new pieces....you must buy Greymoor

    I suppose you only play in CP PvP because you need it whereas no-CP players know the detriments the new patch are going to cause, affecting the whole PvP dynamics in the long run.
    No, stam builds have never gone past 20k penetration particularly in no-CP going solo. Even in CP environment, I can only imagine maybe only very niche penetration builds can go past 20k and even that's a rarity at best.

    I have a very strong feeling that you really don't know how to kill a PvP tank since you noded for nerfs to armour/tank sets. >.>

    I read the patch notes. and the nerfs to tanks were less than the buff.

    Okay. So the Youtuber showcasing a build with 8.8k SD + 29k max mag + 20k pen isn't going to be a problem? Wait till the majority of players (bad players) cry nerfs on the forum. And if I see you complain on being hit by a Vampire build, I will just sit back, relax and enjoy my cuppa reading your comments later on.

    In other words, be careful what you wish for.

    This patch is a huge huge buff to glass canons/damage builds, not tanks. Get that right first.

    And no, those stats arent near the most broken stats i have ever seen.
    Funny that those stats look similar to some stam build stats that are possible since a few years.

    and no, mag builds wont be the most broken things if this patch goes live.
    I only tested 2 things on pts. and both of them top this vamp build by miles.

    i think it funny tough thot nobody posts about the obvious broken things anywhere on the forums. seems like theres quite a few people that wont share their testing^^

    And even if vamp is broken, that doesnt mean tanks didnt get a buff. who says tanks cant use vamp skills, and do massive damage while remaining hard to kill? Its been this way for stam tanks for a long time.

    Please, for the love of god know the difference between a tank build and a balanced pvp build. A tank focuses on mitigating damage without dealing damage while balances builds focus on both mitigating and dealing damage. Tanks got nerfed because their healing got reduced by 20% and some sets got nerfed. The buffs to damage sets and skills is only negative to them because they are only playing against them, not using them.

    A balanced build will be able to deal more damage, but that doesnt mean it got buffed. There is no point in having alot of damage if you die from 3 hits or cant heal up. Multiple players will notice the 20% nerf less than the solo player because of cross healing and the difference in constant damage from the opposing sides. Multiple players mostly take burst from solo players, while the solo player take constant damage from all the different players. This means the solo player have to constantly heal the entire time while taking damage and the other players have more time to heal up after a failed burst.

    All in all, damage buffed, healing nerfed. Tanks nerfed, solo play nerfed, small scale nerfed a bit, zergs will barely feel the difference. Conclusion: zos sucks at fixing issues in pvp.

    I never called for a nerf, yet i still think nerfing some stuff is and was justified, or it doesnt make a lot of difference..
    That is perfectly viable. Some things are just too op to not nerf, and some nerfs are not rly that game changing (like this nerf)
    So ofc i can not call for nerfs and still be fine if something gets nerfed. thats the what balancing means.

    Agreed. This whole 'PvP tank meta' problem is actually non-existent in no-CP PvP. I advocate for adjustments through Battle Spirit in PvP as mentioned in my thread. Kindly give your thoughts in it if you want, thanking you in advance if you do.

    TLDR; Cross healings from allies and %-based damage mitigation is the main problem that contributed to this mess.

    I agree with nerf, but it should be like small slight nerf not total destruction to these sets 10-20% reduction will be ok but why ZOS always take hammmer and destroy something 50%?...and next update they will buff them as usual.
