Hey Dev Team, now that the focus will be moving away from the 'cats', could you please give Bosmer back their Stealth passive? I get it, you wanted to have more cats playing in the sand, but I for one, HATE what was done to the Bosmer racials.

The fact is that several of the Khajiit and Bosmer racials are backwards. Bosmer had been sneakier and better thieves, while Khajiit were more athletic and acrobatic -- look at Morrowwind and Oblivion where those were skills. In both of those games Khajiit had a big bonus to acrobatics and a small bonus to athletics, sneaking, and picking pockets; while Bosmer had a small bonus to acrobatics, no bonus to athletics, and a big bonus to sneaking and picking pockets.

Khajiit should have reduced fall damage and the roll dodge quickness thing while Bosmer should be the better pickpockets. Both races should be sneaky, though, but if a distinction must be made, then Bosmer should be better at it. Personally, I think both races having the same sneak bonus is fine.

Whoever came up with the current racial passives didn't know anything about Bosmer lore and culture and it shows.

Seems the Khajiit better than Bosmer at sneak trend started with Skyrim.

Bosmer:

+10 Archery
+5 Alchemy, Light Armor, Lockpicking, Pickpocket, Sneak

Khajiit:

+10 Sneak
+5 Alchemy, Archery, Lockpicking, One-handed, Pickpocket

Bosmer sneaking?
Oh, yeah, I guess that used to be a thing, but then the powers that be decided otherwise for ESO, and... well... there is that. Lorewise they had always been more known for archery then sneakyness anyhow.

There are several reasons for that. One is that each race in Skyrim has one big bonus, and 5 small bonuses. It could be five small bonuses with two big bonuses (Argonian and Khajiit) or four big bonuses with one small bonus (Orc) in Oblivion and Morrowind. Also, the two skills that Khajiit had the most bonuses to in Oblivion, Acrobatics and Hand-to-hand, disappeared and no longer existed. So, Bosmer ended up having their one big bonus to Archery despite having had the biggest bonus to sneaking in Oblivion and Morrowind.

Also, it is important to note that while Bosmer did lose some effectiveness at sneaking going from Oblivion to Skyrim, they kept a bonus to picking pockets and gained a bonus to lockpicking in Skyrim (which neither Khajiit or Bosmer had previously), which meant they could remain very good thieves. In ESO, as it stands now, Bosmer have absolutely NO bonus to ANY aspect of thievery and are actually better at being guards. Which is an abomination.

Looking at all of the games where racial skill bonuses existed make it very clear that Bosmer and Khajiit are both supposed to be very good at being thieves, but Bosmer should have a slight edge. Khajiit should be much better at being acrobatic. That was their main skill as long as it existed as a learnable skill.
