✭✭Vampires in Tes have Black Souls Just like any mortal so the reflection thing isn't an issue maybe more of a folklore story thing but not actual reality. The same Prince that held back valuable information in the Shivering Isles quest till it was too late, the one that changes the rules of his games constantly, and is seen by the Dunmer as one of the 4 Corners of the House Troubles?

It would be pretty trivial to implement.
So, we're left with, "Vampires don't have reflections." "Here is a picture of a vampire and their reflection." "Buh... NO! Sheogorath told me, and he's more trustworthy than reality!"
Now, what I'll grant you is that people on Tamriel probably believe vampires don't cast reflections. It's probably saved more than one vampire from would-be vampire hunters who couldn't distinguish myth from fact. But, vampires in game do cast reflections.1 -

✭✭Thing is Zenimax didn't implement reflections for being seen in a mirror that is why you have to pretend your seeing yourself in game. So Vampire or not in this game can't really see a reflection there.
However given they did add water reflections and even vampires have them by the screenshot above. If a vampire had one in the water then they would surely have a reflection in a mirror. Because the no reflection in the mirror is more or less something created to assume vampires don't have souls thus don't reflect.
So like I mentioned before they have black souls and even Azura confirms they have souls in Oblivion. Because they have souls that means they have reflections.
Also people like to think that Molag Bal takes the Souls of Vampires but Azura says their spirits are free so that means killing them doesn't grant Molag Bal the Soul automatically or at all. Some vampires might actually want to go to Coldharbour and be with their father so I can see that happening or those that made deals with him to get the Vampirism could go there on death automatically. One thing I noticed in the game is one of the anchor bosses the Gray Host Leader, Has a werewolf with him and a Werebat I believe. Werewolves tend to go to Hircine but yet that werewolf was with that vampire and that werebat most likely was too so that means Hircine didn't get those souls. Could be that they went to Coldhabour instead when they were slain in life. So that means Hircines claim might not be absolute either.

Which goes back to the whole thing about reflections and everyone has them, with the exception of that single Valenwood bloodline. Makes you wonder what's special about them that causes this strange effect to happen. Is it so they can sneak up on people looking at themselves in a mirror? Do they sneak around water a lot? True but it makes sense for Soul Shriven to have reflections, because like daedra they have Vestiges a type of proxy soul that is more daedric aligned then anuic. The vestige Hero also has that proxy soul and some anuic stuff in him/her that allows him/her to reconnect to Mundus , the thing that allows them to reform after death. So even without their souls they still have a daedric vestige counterpart.
So the no Reflection thing might not be a actual possibility in Tes but having no Shadow is something I think would be something that can happen as that was explored in the Clock Work City expansion. Its just that Daedra and Mortals and things and objects all cast some form of reflection that means they all have reflections.
So I do think its possible it would just be a folklore myth with no actual basis in reality.

I'd like to add that in Cloudrest on veteran difficulty you'll notice if you die during the Sea Sload fight she'll command your shadow to fight for her. Its interesting to say the least and is a very important part of that fight.PC NA - Ceyanna Ashton - Breton Vampire MagDK1 -

If you try to revive someone who's shadow is still on the field of battle the shadow will zoom back to its owner and one shot you, which as you can guess now gives Zmaja an additional shadow to work with. The shadows shoot magic spells at your allies and zoom around lending to the nature of this shadow holding the magical power you once possessed. Another cool thing is the shadow inherits the race and gender of your character which is a nice touch. I would love to see a vampire bloodline in TES with Obtenebration. That would be wild. We kinda have that with Nightblades, they're explicitly using "shadow magic," but, yeah, that would be cool.0
