Magicka classes and Stuhn's Favor

If the set goes lives as it is now its gonna be pretty op so i think that every class should have access to off balance, so it can be used by all classes.
Dk has whip, templar has charge, nb has concealed, warden has dive.
The way i see it magsorc and magcro should also have off balance available to a useful class skill.
I know it might sound like its homogenising classes but if you think about it this debuff is already available to 4 out of 6 classes plus all stamina have it via dizzy.

Yes but

1. It's not a class skill
2. Its harder to set enemy off balance because you have to proc the enemy with concussion first then use wall of elements, if you compare it with the other ways the other classes have its way more difficult.

Nobody is standing in Wall of Elements in PvP not to mention that it's about twice as expensive to cast as options derived from spammables.

No, don’t rebalance class skills based on one out of the hundreds of sets in the game. What’s the logic in that.

It’s nearly 3x as powerful as Armor of Truth anyways so hopefully this doesn’t launch as is.

I agree that the best thing would be to change the set but I wouldn't be surprised if it stays as it is in order to sell the chapter.
And if indeed stays in this op state this is just going to handicap magsorcs and magcros.
The logic is that if a set is op everybody should be able to use it.

The easy solution would be to just allow this to trigger on offbalanced and stunned targets?

I agree I think this isn't as big an issue for CP PVP since everyone can put 120 points to get tactician but in BGs it will become obvious that magsorc and magcro don't have easy off balance. At least magsorc has some natural synergy with shock damage.

This is a buff sorc thread.

I get what you're saying but I'd rather see them using those resources into rebalancing other sets so we see some variety in PvP for once.

I hope bro but after all this is a company so if the new sets are not worth they will lose money that's why i make these suggestions, not specifically for sorc, magcro could really use some help.

I don't think an already overperforming set needs even easier proc conditions. Making it even easier to access is a topic for when the set recieves a balance pass. And even then, not everything must be as good on every build as on another. NBs had it with 7th legion as the resolve passive doesn't proc it. Sorcs loose their surge heal if they go for the malacath glove. etc. etc. I think it's a good thing as long as said stuff isn't obviously overperforming. Leading us back to the balance check on stuhn.

First off we can agree, that the set is busted and needs to be looked at.
Secondly I agree to the point, that standardizing the classes around one set or a mechanic like offbalance is not a good idea. It is desriable to get away from the current standadization again, since we kind of have a starter point, still classes need to feel unique and strong again.

If we look at classes and this set, then naturally magcro is kind of left out. But as said, giving every class access to everything is bad, just because ZOS brought an overperforming set based on a mechanic, not everybody has access to. Also...I dont think that among the magclasses anyone really needs such a set (especially not magsorc) to be competitive. Competitiveness should come from the class, not from a set.

I totally agree that competitiveness must come from class but with sets like this being released it just handicaps the classes that don't use this set, so its zos fault to release this set to begin with.
But if indeed the set is released as it is now the competitiveness is going to be unbalanced between the classes that can use the set vs the classes that can't.
